Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain smooth switching of transmission/reception by a voice signal by turning on a switch at the same time with an input signal and turning off the switch at a prescribed time after the input signal is lost. CONSTITUTION:When the discontinuous voice signal is inputted, the signal is amplified and triggers a retriggerable monostable multivibrator 7. The multivibrator 7 outputs a pulse for a prescribed time so as to activate a switch circuit 8. The output pulse width of the multivibrator 7 is adjusted so as to apply retriggering before the output of the multivibrator 7 is finished, then the switch circuit 8 attains smooth operation even to the discontinuous voice input. Thus, the smooth switching operation is conducted to the discontinuous voice input and also the mis-transmission of the head of the voice input is avoided.

Conventional configurations and their problems In recent years, various devices have become smaller, and radios, tape recorders, etc. are no longer used indoors, but are increasingly used outdoors. A small transceiver is one such device. This transceiver differs from radios and the like in that it must be able to switch between transmission and reception. Recently, many transceivers used outdoors are using audio signals to switch between transmission and reception.

第1図に従来の音声によるスイッチ装置の一例を示す。FIG. 1 shows an example of a conventional voice switching device.

In FIG. 1, 1 is a microphone that converts audio into electrical signals. 2 is an amplifier, 3 is an integrating circuit, and 4 is a switch circuit.

Assume that a discontinuous audio signal (interrupted by breaths, etc.) as shown in a in FIG. 2 is input to this circuit. If the integrating circuit 3 were not provided, it would turn on and off as shown in FIG. 2b. If the transmission and reception are switched using this switch device, the transmission and reception will be switched frequently and smooth communication will not be possible.

For this reason, as shown in FIG. 1, an integrating circuit 3 is provided to prevent the switch from operating even if voice input disappears for a short time, such as when the user takes a breather. Assume that a discontinuous audio signal is input as in the above case (a in FIG. 3). This time, since there is an integrating circuit 3, the signal input to the switch circuit 4 becomes as shown in FIG. 3b. In the end, the switch 4 operates as shown in FIG. 3C, and there is no longer a need for frequent switching between transmission and reception. However, the provision of such an integrating circuit 3 has a major drawback in that even if there is an audio input, the switch does not operate immediately, and the audio signal in the shaded area in FIG. 3a is not transmitted.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION The present invention eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks and provides a switch device in which the switch operates immediately upon receiving an input signal, and does not operate for a certain period of time even after the input signal disappears.

FIG. 4 shows a circuit diagram of a switch device according to an embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 4, 6 is a microphone that converts audio into an electrical signal, 6 is an amplifier, 7 is a monostable multivibrator that accepts retrigger, 8 is a switch circuit, 9 is an amplifier circuit that amplifies the signal from microphone 5, and 10 is an amplifier. This is a comparison circuit that outputs a pulse when there is an input above a certain level.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS When a discontinuous audio signal similar to that described above (FIG. 5a) is input to the circuit of FIG. 4, this signal is amplified and triggers the retriggerable monostable multivibrator 7. The retrigger accepting monostable multivibrator 7 outputs a pulse for a certain period of time to operate the switch circuit 8. Adjust the output pulse width of the retrigger accepting monostable multivibrator 7,
If the pulse is outputted up to the broken line in Figure 5, the retrigger will be applied before the retrigger-receiving monostable multivibrator 7 finishes outputting, so the switch circuit 8 will end up being retriggered.
The switch operates as shown in FIG. 5b, and smooth switch operation is possible even in response to discontinuous audio input. The comparison circuit 1o is adjusted so that the switch circuit does not malfunction due to noise.

Effects of the Invention As described above, if the switch device of the present invention is used as a transmit/receive changeover switch of a transceiver, smooth switch operation can be achieved even when a discontinuous audio signal is input due to breathing, etc. This eliminates the possibility that the first part of the voice input is not transmitted, and has the great effect of allowing smoother communication.
