この様に、前記磁気カードと5磁気通帳とでは磁気媒体
が質的にも寸法的にも大きく異なるので、前記磁気カー
ドと磁気通帳に磁気記録されている情報を共に読取るに
は2台の読取りユニット(磁気カード用と磁気通帳用)
が必要となり、装置は大型化しコストも高くなる。そこ
で、1台の読取りユニットにより、磁気カード又は磁気
通帳に磁気記録されている情報を読取る為の装置〔第1
図A,b〕が考えられるが、これは次に示す如き種々の
欠点を有している。つまり、第1図A,bはガイド1,
1″によつて挟まれたガイド幅1−1をaの如く磁気通
帳2の厚さより僅かに広く設定し、磁気ヘッド3と圧着
ローラー4によつて挾まれた圧着幅4−1をbの如く磁
気カード5の厚さより僅かに挾く設定したものてある。
第1図aにおいて、磁気通帳2を矢印6の方向に手動送
りして磁気通帳の先端2−1が前記磁気ヘッド3と圧着
ローラ4との間に挟持されると、前記圧着幅4−1が磁
気通帳2の厚みと比較してかなり挾い為、前記手動送り
に対して急激な負荷変化が発生し、前記手動送りの速度
が不安定となつて前記情報の読取りエラーを招き易い。
又、第1図bにおいて、前記磁気カード5を矢印6の方
向に手動送りすると、前記ガイド幅1−1が磁気カード
の厚みと比較してかなり広い為、前記ガイド1,1″の
効果が弱く、磁気カード先端5−1の磁気ヘッド3への
突入位置が一定せず、前記手動送りに速度が不安定とな
つて前記情報の読取りエラーを招き易い。本発明は、こ
の様な問題を解決するもので、前記磁気カードと通帳の
如き厚さの異なる磁気媒体の前記厚さに応じて案内路の
幅が変化し、しかも、前記案内路は磁気媒体の側面に対
して常時適当な押圧力を作用せしめるものであるから、
通帳;の如く腰の弱い磁気媒体に対しては前記腰の弱さ
を補強する効果を有し、手動送り時の操作性を高めるも
のである。以下、第2図A,b,cによつて本発明の説
明を行なう。

用しても、又、複数枚の紙から成り、厚さ1.5〜2朗
程度の通帳をベースとする磁気通帳を使用しても、前記
弾性体9によつてこれら磁気カード、磁気通帳の厚さに
応じたガイド幅が得られるものである。
