Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a higher speed of printing by setting the depth of a type font at such that any type will not contact a type bar even if bouncing when returned into the type font with the type bar. CONSTITUTION:A type font 2 and a partition 4 are extended downward to set at about 2-6mm. the distance S between a type 3 and the top surface of the type font 2 with the type 3 received by a receptacle 5. This can prevent the type 3 from abutting on the type bar 1 even if bouncing and eliminates the need for setting any waiting time until the bouncing thereof ceases. The speeding up of printing in a fullyautomatic typewriter is also made possible.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a typewriter capable of increasing printing speed.

In Japanese typewriters, after printing is completed, the type bar returns to the specified position, and when the type bar is released, the type is stored in the type storage, but at this time, the type violently collides with the bottom of the type storage. Due to the repulsive force between the type and the bottom of the type storage, some of the type flies out of the type storage and reaches the square hole in the type bar head again.

The type then bounces around repeatedly until it stabilizes in the type warehouse.

Traditionally, Japanese typewriters have moved the type storage by hand, and in this case, even if the type bounces when it is stored in the type storage, the movement of the type storage is slow, so there is virtually no problem. There wasn't.

However, this poses a major problem in fully automatic typewriters, in which the type storage is moved at high speed by a motor, and the type bar, platen, ribbon, etc. are also electrically driven. In other words, in order to increase the printing speed even slightly, when the type bar releases the type and the type is stored in the type storage, the type storage immediately moves the predetermined character to be printed next, but at this time the type bounces. Then, the type moves toward the type bar head again, and the type store moves with its upper part caught by the lower end of the type bar head, resulting in major damage to the type store and type bar. To prevent this, it is possible to set up a waiting period for the type to stabilize after the type bar returns the type to the type storage, and then move the type storage, but fully automatic typewriters accelerated by motors , providing such a waiting time is disadvantageous in terms of printing speed.

Printing speed refers to the number of characters printed per unit time.
If the waiting time is long as described above, the printing speed will be extremely reduced, and in experiments, the waiting time until the type stabilizes is about 15 milliJ seconds, which means that the printing speed is 3.
This is a problem for fully automatic typewriters with ~5 characters.

FIG. 1 shows the configuration of the main parts of a conventional machine. Reference numeral 1 denotes a type bar, and types 3 are housed in a type bed 2. Reference numeral 4 denotes a partition plate that supports the sides of the type 3, and the bottom surface of the type 3 is supported by a receiver 5 formed by bending the partition plate 4.

In such a configuration, according to experiments, the bounce of the type 3 can be as much as 6 to 8 meters depending on the conditions, but since the gap between the lower end of the type bar 1 and the top surface of the type bed 2 is usually 2 to 4 degrees, the bounce of the type 3 Due to the bounce, 2 to 6 strokes will enter the type bar 1.

The present invention simplifies and eliminates such conventional disadvantages, and one embodiment thereof will be described below with reference to FIG. 2.

In FIG. 2, the same components as those in the conventional configuration shown in FIG.
The distance S between the type 3 and the upper surface of the type bed 2 is set to 2 to 6 wn in a state where the type 3 is being received.

With this configuration, even if the type 3 bounces, it can be prevented from coming into contact with the type bar 1, and there is no need to set a waiting time for the type bar 1 to stop bouncing. It can increase the printing speed of automatic typewriters.

As described above, the present invention enables high-speed printing with a simple configuration, and its practicality is excellent.
