Conventionally, as shown in FIG. 1, a wet powder material 2 containing octopus is extruded from between the rolling rolls 1 and 1 as a manufacturing method for applying wrinkles in the rolled sheet tobacco manufacturing process, and then the product is passed through a doctor knife 4 for wrinkles. In contrast, in the present invention, by selecting a binder, the third
The purpose is to obtain a larger wrinkled sheet cigarette as shown in the figure. It is known that certain types of natural gums are used as binders for rolled sheet cigarettes, but the present inventors used gum arabic among natural gums as a binder and further selected the blending ratio. The inventors discovered that the above-mentioned sheet could be obtained by doing this, leading to the present invention.

Winnowa camphor powder, defibrated pulp as a reinforcing material, gum arabic as a binder, propylene glycol and cornstarch knob (amount ratio of 1:2) as a humectant, and glyoxal as a water resistant agent are used as shown in Table 1. Wet powder 2 was prepared by adding water to the mixture so that the moisture content was 30%, and the wet powder was mixed at a circumferential speed of 75 m.
A sheet tobacco 3 is placed between rolling rolls 1 and 1 which are rotating in opposite directions at /-, and is adhered and formed on the rolling rolls.

Then, the sheet tobacco was cut into a width of O, 8TfUn, and a length of 10-IWL using a cutting machine to obtain shredded tobacco. The increase in swelling due to the occurrence of wrinkles is due to the fact that the above cut tobacco 15y has an inner diameter of 72T.
Pour into a cylindrical container of rgTt, O, 577Z77l/
It is compressed at a constant speed of sec, and the stress is 250q/
The volume when the Clt was reached was determined, and as a control group, sheet tobacco produced by the invention method disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 1987-59 was used, and the increase ratio with respect to the volume when operated in the same manner as the above-mentioned shredded tobacco is shown in Table 1. Indicated. As is clear from the examples in Table 1, when gum arabic is used as a binder, the formation of wrinkles in the shape of Figure 3 is noticeable when the blending ratio is 4 to 11%, and the swelling property is This is an 8-16% increase compared to conventional wrinkled sheet cigarettes. On the other hand, when locust bean gum and guar gum both use a type of natural gum as a binder, no wrinkles are formed.
The swelling property was also inferior to that of conventional wrinkled sheet cigarettes.
These differences depending on the type of binder are due to the fluidity of the binder,
It is presumed that this is due to physicochemical properties such as adhesive force and shrinkage force.

Conventionally, 2 to 3% carboxymethyl cellulose was blended as a binder in rolled sheet tobacco, but this was the result of searching for a binder that would have a binding effect in a small amount among various binders.

In the present invention, by selecting the type and amount of the binder at a higher blending ratio than the conventional practical blending ratio, when the sheet 3 adhered to the forming roll 1 is peeled off with the doctor knife 4, This increases the resistance and makes it possible to obtain a wrinkled sheet having the shape shown in FIG. According to the present invention, it is possible to solve the drawbacks of the prior art in which wrinkles are less likely to occur or wrinkles do not occur due to the angle at which the doctor knife is applied. It is now possible to obtain sheet tobacco with relatively large wrinkles in the shape shown in FIG. 3 without using a peeling knife, and thereby it is possible to provide rolled sheet tobacco with high swelling properties. It became.
