Claims

This power steering system consists of a vehicle speed sensor that detects the vehicle's running speed, and a controller that issues a flow control signal to a flow control valve to reduce the amount of pressurized oil supplied in response to an increase in the vehicle speed based on a signal from the vehicle speed sensor. The flow rate control valve has a cylinder part provided in the pressure oil supply passage, a valve part disposed within the cylinder part that controls the amount of pressure oil supply by opening and closing the pressure oil supply passage, and a valve part arranged in the cylinder part that controls the pressure oil supply amount by opening and closing the pressure oil supply passage. A power steering device comprising a bypass passage that sometimes bypasses this cut portion to ensure a minimum flow rate of pressure oil supply to the power cylinder.
