However, when the casting surface has a complicated shape or the cast product becomes large, inclusions due to the coating coming off the mold are affected by the retained heat of the molten metal, molten metal impact pressure, flow energy, etc. There are problems such as the occurrence of defective products (for example, the percentage of defective products in multi-valves is 5 to 10%). Therefore, we conducted comparative casting tests to compare the coating methods and their performance using coating materials such as graphite-based, zircon-based, and acetylene smoke. It was found that there are advantages and disadvantages in removability.

Some of the results are shown in the table below, showing that molds coated with graphite-based and zircon-based coating materials had good seizure resistance and vening resistance, while molds coated with acetylene smoke-based coating materials had good seizing resistance and vening resistance. The material showed excellent results in vening resistance and peeling resistance. (O Good △ Slightly Good × Poor) The present invention was made based on the above experiment, and forms a coating film of graphite-based, zircon-based, etc. mold material on the surface of a sand mold for seizing and veering resistance. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a coating mold for casting which can eliminate conventional casting defects by providing cushioning properties to the coating mold surface by forming a porous protective film on the surface of the coating film. shall be.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to one embodiment. Reference numeral 1 denotes a coating mold for casting, in which the molding surface 2 of a shell mold 1a is covered with a coating film 5 made by laminating a lower coating material 3 and an upper coating material 4, and FIG. 3 shows an enlarged part of its cross section. This is what was shown.

Next, to explain the mold coating method, firstly, a lower coating material 3 (for example, a phosphorescent graphite 2 hard-skinned mold coating material) is applied to the molding surface 2 of the shell mold 1a. Graphite (9 parts, coke 40 parts, zircon 2 parts, silica sol 3 parts, and appropriate amount of alcohol) are brushed or dipped to a predetermined thickness (approximately 0.05 to 0.1 Tf0r).
After coating L), acetylene smoke from acetylene burner combustion is evenly sprayed onto the upper surface of the lower mold material to a predetermined thickness (A). 05 to 0.1Tr0rt) are laminated to form a casting mold 1.

The upper layer coating material 4 contains the granular soot 6, 6...
are deposited with voids 7, 7, . . In addition, the lower layer coating material 3 has been heat-treated in advance using flames during acetylene smoke coating, and thus has improved heat resistance. According to the above-described structure, the method of the present invention coats the molding surface of a casting shell mold with a lower layer coating material having seizing resistance and vening resistance and an upper layer coating material having vening resistance and impact resistance in a layered manner. As a result, the problem of flame failure in conventional casting is eliminated, and the upper layer coating material can be applied with extremely simple operations, which has the excellent effect of improving both productivity and workability.
