ローラーに十分含まれず付着しないため均一な模様が形
成されない欠点がある等のためである。一方、建築塗装
において、ローラー塗装が盛んになつてきており今後の
塗装法の主流を占めるものと予想されるが、ローラー塗
装の利点は吹矢け作業の場合は、おおがかりな養生が必
要となるが、養生を殆んど必要としないこと、作業性が
良好で作業者の熟練度を要さないこと、小部分の塗装も
簡単に できること等があげられる。そこで、本発明者
等は、ローラー塗装により多彩模様塗料を塗装すること
を検討した結果、特定のローラーを用い、下塗りにより
凹凸面を設け、その上に多彩模様塗料を塗装することで
目的を達することを見い出した。 即ち本発明は、骨材
含有塗料を短毛ローラーでもつてローラー塗装し、塗膜
が乾燥した後、多彩模様塗料を多孔質ローラーでローラ
ー塗装することを特徴とする多彩模様塗料のローラー塗
装法に関するものである。

水石、珪砂、アルミナ等の天然石粉、パーライトなどの
無機質骨材あいは合成樹脂粉末等があげられる。これら
の骨材の粒子径は、40μ〜900μの範囲で、40μ
より小さいものでは凹凸面の形成が不十分であるため多
彩模様をローラーにより均一に塗装することができない
。逆に900μより大きい場合は短毛ローラーでの塗装
作業性が劣る。また、骨材含有塗料中の骨材の含有量は
20〜50重量%位である。

様塗料を塗装した場合、立体感にすぐれた多彩模様を塗
装できる。以下、本発明を実施例および比較例により説
明する。
