強度が低下して疲労破壊を招くおそれがあった。This is because without the scallop 4, the steel plates 1 and 2 would come into direct contact with the corner of the steel plate 3 to be welded, making welding impossible. Position the welding rod on one side of the steel plate 3 to be welded, hold the welding rod diagonally upward toward the scallop front face 5, and perform one-sided welding along one side of the steel plate 3 to be welded starting from the scallop front face 5. Generally, the operator moves to the side of the steel plate 3 and welds the other side of the scallop from the front side 5 again in the same manner as described above. However, in this case, the weld bead at the starting point where one side was first welded will cool and solidify when welding the next side, and the solidified weld bead and the starting point will be wrapped for a certain length and welded on the other side. As a result, the seam of the weld bead at the super point is not well melted and integrated, the bead swells, internal stress is concentrated, the welding strength decreases, and there is a risk of fatigue failure.

Weld one side of the steel plate to be welded by facing the rod, and before the weld bead at the starting point has solidified, weld a separate welding bead from the pool side, and overlap the first weld bead by a certain length, and weld the other side of the steel plate to be welded. There is a method of welding a scalloped part, which is characterized by welding.

FIG. 2 is an explanatory diagram showing the welding method according to the present invention, in which two welders each First, a welder located on one side faces the welding rod 6 from diagonally above the scallop front face 5, and points the welding point of the steel plates 3, 2 along one side of the steel plates 3 to be welded with the arrows. Separately face the steel plate 3 to be welded so that it can overlap the first weld bead by a certain length as shown by arrow B.
Weld along the other side. What is shown in FIG. 3 is for explaining the arrangement of the welding rods 6, 6a with respect to the scallop 4. For example, the first welding rod 6 is set to have a horizontal angle of 30 degrees and a vertical angle of 2 to 3 degrees, as shown in the figure. Perform the first welding with the tip of the welding rod 6 facing point P, which indicates the side edge of the scallop front 5, and the welder on the other side points the welding rod 6
Welding according to the method of the present invention was performed by setting a to a horizontal angle of 400 degrees and a vertical angle of 2 to 3 degrees, and starting welding with the tip of the welding rod 6a directed toward P2, which indicates the middle position of the scallop front face 5. According to the present invention, the next welding is started by another welder while the weld bead at the starting point where welding was first performed is still in a molten state, so that the weld bead at the starting point is now completely melted and integrated. , there is no swelling of the weld bead at the seam, and a good, seamless weld is performed.

Also, as seen in the cross-sectional photograph of Fig. 6, the steel plate 2, In contrast to 3, the weld bead is melted integrally, and the weld seam is also completely integrated, ensuring that
It can be seen that the welding is strong. As described above, the present invention places welders on both sides of the steel plate 3 on which the scallops 4 have been formed, and starts the subsequent welding before the first weld bead at the scallop 4 part has solidified. As a result, the weld seam is completely integrated without any build-up of meat, and stress is not concentrated inside, making it possible to achieve good welding with high strength, and there is no build-up of meat. This makes it possible to achieve a beautiful and smooth finish, eliminating the need for roller application for surface finishing, which was previously required.
