However, the conventional dust prevention and drainage means configured as described above has the following problems. That is, (1) During rainfall, particularly during heavy rainfall, the drainage receiving groove body 6 and the drain pipe (not shown) connected thereto are clogged by the earth and sand flowing from the gap A, and muddy water flows into the drainage receiving groove body 6.
There is a risk of overflowing and causing secondary disasters such as surrounding pollution.

Since the present invention is constructed as described above, even if the bridge expands and contracts due to temperature changes due to seasonal changes, the dust-proof and water-stopping body can automatically follow this expansion and contraction through its folded parts. The upper surface of the dust-proof and water-stop body will not be separated from the lower surface of the left and right joint members that constitute the bridge expansion joint. As a result, the gap between the left and right joint members constituting the bridge expansion joint can be completely closed by the dust-proof and water-stop body at all times. Therefore, (1) it is possible to reliably prevent foreign matter such as dirt, dust, rainwater, or ice and snow from entering through the gap between the left and right joint members that make up the bridge expansion joint, regardless of seasonal temperature changes. This makes it possible to reliably prevent the aforementioned secondary disasters caused by the intrusion and fall of these foreign objects.
