Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent raw gas from being left coming of burner by a method wherein a condition that a main burner is not ignited is detected by detecting outlet hot-water temperature, which is not yet risen, by a thermistor and a valve is closed to intercept the gas supplied to the main burner. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 4 is thrown, a solenoid valve 7 is opened by a micro-computer 6 accommodated in a control unit 5 and gas is flowed to a pilot burner 1. Simultaneously, an ignition device 8 is discharged by the micro-computer 6 and the pilot burner 1 is ignited. Then, a flame detecting unit 9 confirms that the pilot burner 1 is ignited, the solenoid valve 2 is opened to flow the gas into the main burner 3 and the main burner 3 is ignited. Thereafter, the outlet hot-water temperature is detected by the thermistor 11. If the outlet hot- water temperature is not yet risen, the solenoid valves 7, 2 are closed and the supply of the gas is intercepted, whereby raw gas may be prevented from being left coming out of burner due to the poor spreading of flame for the main burner.
