[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to a Thonet used when bending wood by press forming.

木材を曲げ加工するには通常押圧成形が適用せられる。Pressure forming is usually applied to bend wood.

木材を押圧成形する際には第1図に示すように木材1を

When press molding wood, as shown in Fig. 1, the wood 1 is heated and pressed between heating and pressing molds 2 consisting of an upper mold 2A and a lower mold 2B. The topmost part P of the wood 1 contacts the wood 1 first, and this becomes the center of bending, and the wood 1 is bent. Therefore, the stress exerted by pressing on the part of the upper mold 2A of the wood 1 that contacts the top P of the wood 1. In many cases, the wood 1 does not bend smoothly into a curved shape, but instead bends into a dogleg shape with structural damage such as cracks occurring on the back side, as shown by the dotted line in Figure 1.

Therefore, a method has been proposed in which wood is set on a toneet 3 as shown in FIG. 2, and press molding is performed together with the toneet 3.

Thonet 3 is a belt-shaped elastic body 4 with frame members 5 attached to both ends thereof, and the stress generated during hot press molding is dispersed by the belt-shaped elastic body 4, so that the stress is concentrated in one place of the wood. At the same time, when the wood is bent by heating and press forming, the elongation of the back side of the wood is restricted by the frame members 5 at both ends, thereby preventing structural damage such as cracks from occurring on the back side.

During such hot press molding, since the wood 1 is usually cut so that the conduits IA are arranged in the horizontal direction, most of the water contained in the wood 1 evaporates from the conduits 1A by heating.

However, when the Thonet 3 is used, the openings of the conduit IA at both ends of the wood 1 are blocked by the frame material 5 of the Thonet 3, as shown in FIG.

Therefore, even when wood is heated and pressed, it is often insufficiently dried, and if drying is insufficient, the shape stability of the resulting product becomes poor and distortions are likely to occur.

The purpose of the present invention is to improve the above-mentioned conventional technology and to dry wood smoothly and quickly during hot press molding. The main feature is that a lead-out hole is passed through the side surface of one or both of the frame members.

The wood 1 is placed on the Thonet 13. At this time, if the Thonet 13 is curved in an upwardly convex arc shape as shown in FIG. This is easy because there is no resistance from the frame material 15.

Thereafter, the wood 1 is placed together with the toneet 13 on the lower mold 2B of the heat pressing mold 2, and the wood 1 is bent by heating and pressing by lowering the upper mold 2A or raising the lower mold 2B.

At this time, the elasticity of the Thonet 13 disperses the pressing force applied to the wood 1, preventing stress from concentrating in one place on the wood 1 and preventing damage to the wood 1. Moisture contained in 1 is evaporated by heating and volatilized from the opening of conduit IA to the outside world.

The moisture is volatilized through the outlet hole 15A of the frame member 15 of the Thonet 13.

As mentioned above, the present invention consists of a band-shaped elastic body and a frame attached to both ends of the band-shaped elastic body, and a lead-out hole is passed through the side of one or both of the frame members, so that the wood can be heated and pressed. The moisture contained during molding is smoothly evaporated from the conduit to the outside world through the outlet hole of the Thonet frame material.

Therefore, the wood is sufficiently dried during hot press molding, and the shape stability of the product is improved.
