Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately form an ink passage and the inner shape of a nozzle by sealing an ink passage slot integrally formed at the first substrate with filler, then fusion-bonding it to the second substrate, and removing the filler. CONSTITUTION:Engineering plastic is injection-molded to integrally mold a nozzle 3, an ink supply passage 4, a compressing chamber 5 and the slot of a filter chamber 6, and the slot is sealed with filler 7 such as PVA. After the fusion- bonding surface is flattened by lapping, the second substrate 8 is pressure-fusion- bonded with a solvent, and the filler is then dissolved and removed from the slot.

<Prior art> Conventionally, when manufacturing a plastic inkjet head made by welding a first substrate and a second substrate, the first substrate or the second substrate was coated with a solvent and the welding was simply performed by compression. As shown in the figure, the solvent 1 may flow into the channel groove of the first substrate 2, changing the shape of the channel, or the solvent may adhere to the groove surface due to evaporation, causing the surface to become rough. There is a drawback that the ink droplets cannot be stably ejected due to the difference in the internal shape of each nozzle.

<Purpose> The present invention is intended to solve these drawbacks, and its purpose is to form the ink flow path and the internal shape of the nozzle with high precision, to smooth the flow of ink, and to achieve stable ink droplet flight from the nozzle. An object of the present invention is to provide a plastic inkjet head that is made of plastic.

<Example> FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of an inkjet head according to the present invention, in which the first substrate 2 is made of polysulfone, which can be precisely processed as an engineering plastic, and has a nozzle 31, an ink supply path 41, a compression chamber 5. The grooves of the filter chamber 6 are integrally formed by injection molding. FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of the present invention, in which the filler 7 does not physically or chemically affect the first substrate and the second substrate 8, which is made of the same material, and also fills the grooves of the first substrate. Polyvinyl alcohol is used because it can be completely sealed and can be completely removed by a simple method after welding the first and second substrates.

In the manufacturing process, polyvinyl alcohol is first sealed in the groove of the first substrate, and after it is completely solidified, the welded area is flattened by lapping, and the second substrate is uniformly coated with triethylene glycol dimethyl ether as a solvent using a spinner. Pressure weld. After the solvent has completely hardened, the tip of the nozzle is cut using a microtome to make the end surface flat. Thereafter, the filler is dissolved in water by underwater ultrasonic cleaning, taking advantage of its water-soluble nature, and removed from the grooves to complete the inkjet head.

In addition, as another example, it is also possible to use sodium benzenesulfonate, ammonium benzenesulfonate, polyethylene glycol, and polyvinylpyrrolidinone as the filler, and since they are water-soluble like the polyvinyl alcohol described above, they can be prepared by the same means. The inkjet head can be completed. In yet another embodiment, oil-soluble paraffin can be used as the filler, and the filler can be easily removed by washing in a trichloroethane solution.

As described above, according to the present invention, by the simple method of embedding the filler in the groove of the first substrate and removing it after welding, the flow of the solvent into the ink supply path and the nozzle or the surface cleaning by the solvent can be prevented. By preventing deterioration and forming the internal shape with high precision, stable ink liquid flight can be obtained.
