Abstract

PURPOSE:To securely prevent an ink container from being damaged, by an ink cartridge construction wherein a flexible bag form ink container is contained in a casing the inside wall of which has a curved surface shape substantially the same as the outside shape of the ink container. CONSTITUTION:The ink container 1 is clamped between a pair of stiff plastic casings, namely, an upper casing 12 and a lower casing 13 abutting against each other. The upper and lower casings 12, 13 are integrally provided with ink container supporting walls 14, 15 having curved surface shapes substantially the same as the outer shape of the ink container 1. A blind rubber stopper 7 for the ink container 1 is also fixedly clamped between the upper and lower casings 12, 13, which are fixed to each other by fastening by screws or adhering by an adhesive. Ribs 16 are integrally provided on the upper surface of the upper casing 12 in four directions to enhance the strength of the supporting wall 14.

ートフィルムは3層からなり、各層はそれぞれ固有の働
きを持っている。即ち、外側層3はナイロン等の高分子
フィルムでできてお砂1袋の機械的強度を保つ働きを持
ち、落下、振動等によ抄インクが外部に漏れるのを防い
でいる。中間層4はアルミ薄膜層であり、内部のインク
を外気から完全に遮断してインクの構成成分の蒸発を防
止し1又外部の紫外線や光を遮断じてその変質を防いで
いる。内側層5はポリエチレン等の高分子フィルムでで
きてお91インクを変質させる危険をなくシ、かつイン
クによってナイロン層やアルミ層が変質させられるのを
防止している。以上の3層の他に、互いに溶着させるた
めの溶着高分子層や接着層が設けられている。
