本考案は車輌用ステアリングホイールに関するものであ

従来この種ステアリングホイールに於て、車輌衝突時等
にはステアリングホイールのリム部とステ一部との接合
部に応力が集中し、該接合部は強度を必要とするものの
接合部以外のリム部には何ら特別な強度を必要としない
にも拘らず、リム部内に挿入される芯金はリム部とステ
一部との接合部及び該接合部以外のリム部にも全周にわ
たり一様の断面積にて成形されていたので、ステアリン
グホイールのコストが高くなるばかりか軽量化をはかる

価に製造でき軽量化をはかることが可能となるに加えて
、車輌衝突時に、芯金部14に局部的な圧力変化を生じ
させることなく、ステアリングホイールのリム部とステ
一部との接合部に集中する応力に対しても充分抗し得る
