Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a ring for a spinning frame, having excellent abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance, and capable of keeping the quality of the spun yarn by its long life and stable spinning performance, by making at least the flange part of the ring with a ceramic. CONSTITUTION:At least the flange part 1 of a ring having the flange part 1, the neck part, the body part 3 and the ring-rail insertion part 2 as essential components, is made of a ceramic. For example, a raw material composed of silicon carbide is cast and fired at a high temperature to obtain the flange part 1. The body part 3 including the ring-rail insertion part 2 other than the flange part 1 is made of carbon steel or a light alloy. The flange part 1 is bonded to the body part 3 with an adhesive, etc. to obtain the objective ring 4 for a spinning frame.

Conventionally, rings for spinning machines are made of carbon steel and are heat-treated by carburizing and quenching to achieve a surface hardness of Hv800-900.
They are formed in order of hardening depth of 0.4 to 0.5. However, with the above heat treatment method, the life of the ring is 3.
~4 years, but in the field of synthetic fibers, the limit was 1 to 2 years. The reason for this is thought to be that when carbon steel is used as the ring material, the surface hardness decreases due to the high temperature generated when the traveler slides on the ring flange, which increases sliding wear due to the traveler running. Furthermore, the above-mentioned conventional rings are prone to corrosion and have problems such as premature peeling and wear due to corrosion and thread breakage.

The present invention solves the above-mentioned drawbacks, and improves wear resistance and corrosion resistance by composing at least the flange part of the ring with ceramic, and maintains good yarn quality with long life and stable spinning. The present invention provides rings for spinning machines.

The flange portion il+ and the phase portion (3) are bonded and fixed together by brazing, a rubber-based, resin-based, or inorganic adhesive, or heat bonding to constitute the spinning machine ring (A) of the present invention. As a ceramic material, silicon carbide has high strength, chemical resistance,
It has high wear resistance and has a thermal conductivity that is almost the same as that of a metal traveler (Feo, i ~ 0.15.5icO, 16), so it easily dissipates the heat generated when the traveler runs.
It is very suitable because it is less likely to cause traveler burn or wear and tear, and the life of the traveler 2 can be extended. Other ceramic materials used include alumina and titanium carbide. It is also possible to form the ceramic material into a porous material and use it as an oil-filled ring. Furthermore, in order to make the ceramic material smooth, it may be subjected to lapping or borising, if necessary.

Furthermore, the neck part, body part, and fitting part, excluding the 7222 part, are integrally formed of plastic, FRP, CFRP%GFRP, etc., so that they can be assembled with a ceramic flange, and the surface can be machined by conventional turning or surface processing. It is also possible to streamline the production process by omitting processing steps such as treatment and heat treatment. In addition, the ceramic flange and carbon steel body are heated and bonded.
For example, it is also possible to interpose metal steel between ceramic and carbon steel and heat and bond them in a high-temperature oxidizing atmosphere.

As described above, in the present invention, since at least the flange part of the ring is made of ceramic material, it can withstand the high temperatures generated at the contact part with the traveler when the traveler runs, and the hardness does not decrease, so Abrasion is greatly reduced, and since heat conductivity is high, heat dissipation is good and traveler burn does not occur. Furthermore, since it has a chemically stable crystal structure, it is not subject to corrosion or oxidation, and wear due to corrosion or oxidation is also prevented. Therefore, the lifespan is greatly extended. The main parts of the ring except the flange are still made of plastic.
By integrally forming it from FRP, CFRP, GFRP, etc. and incorporating it in a replaceable manner with a ceramic flange, it is possible to omit the conventional processes such as machining by turning, surface treatment, and heat treatment, greatly streamlining the process. This invention has excellent effects such as being able to achieve the following.
