  1. 車体側に支持され、ステアリングコラムの先端が連結す
    れたトランスファギヤボックスを有するステアリング装
    置において、前記ステアリングコラム及びトランスファ
    ギヤボックスを衝突力の作用方向へ変位可能に設け、前
    記トランスファギヤボックスを、前記変位時にエネルギ
    を吸収する支持体によって車体側に支持したことを特徴
    とするエネルギ吸収式ステアリング装置。
