Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high-strength and uniform resin molded item whose properties would be less scattered, by placing a sheetlike substrate in a mold cavity, closing the molds, and injecting under pressure a resin composition that has been heated and melted to be uniform. CONSTITUTION:One or more sheetlike substrates (e.g. glass cloths) are placed in a cavity 2 that is formed by molds 1, 1', the molds are closed, and a resin composition (e.g. phenolic resin composition or the like) that has been heated and melted to be uniform is injected under pressure via a sprue 4 by injection molding technique or the like to produce a resin molded item 5. USE:Constituting parts of automobiles, etc.

Conventionally, thermosetting resin molded products have been widely used for tape recorder chassis, printed circuit boards, and the like. In recent years, thermosetting resin molded products have also come to be applied to mechanical parts for automobiles that require high strength and heat resistance. However, conventionally widely used injection molded products made of short glass fiber-containing or asbestos fiber-containing thermosetting resins have the drawback of low mechanical strength, particularly low impact resistance. On the other hand, there are long glass fiber-containing thermosetting resin molded products made by compression molding, but one of the disadvantages of compression molding is that the resin melts and hardens unevenly, resulting in large variations in the mechanical strength of the molded products. It wasn't something.

The resin used in the present invention may be either a thermoplastic resin or a thermosetting resin. Examples of the thermosetting resin include phenol resin, epoxy TT, resin, unsaturated polyester, melamine resin, diallyl phthalate resin, etc. This is usually mixed and kneaded with asbestos fibers, glass fibers, talc, silica, calcium carbonate, wood flour, fillers such as bulbs, hardeners, colorants, etc. to form a composition.

シート状基材は、ガラス布、綿布等が適用でき。Glass cloth, cotton cloth, etc. can be used as the sheet-like base material.

As mentioned above, in the present invention, a sheet-like base material is placed in a cavity and a resin composition is injected under pressure to form the molded product. Since a resin composition that has been heated and melted and homogenized is injected under pressure, a uniform molded product with no variation in strength can be obtained, which is of great industrial value.
