じつつ内容物充填密封t、そののちに包装体を形成する
場合を除き、十分な殺菌は行なわれていない。では、密
封前に包装体を形成する場合のかかる折り重ね部分の殺
菌の方法としては、巻取り状態の包装材料よりインライ
/で殺菌成形・内容物充填以前する場合と、オフライン
で包装体に成形した後、または、一部を成形した後、殺
菌・内容物充顛・密1″1j封する場合と行なわれてい
るが、前者の場合、巻取り状の包装材料が送られ殺菌工
程になるのであるが、この時点より以降、密封工程まで
微生物の2次汚染防止対策(機械全体をクリーンブース
化するなど)が必要であり、更に、内容物充填以前で個
々の包装体に分割する場合には包i材料切断時の切りか
えの異物混入及び、積層材料でその中に紙を使用してい
るものであれば、紙白に存在する微生物が外部に飛び出
し、包装材料を汚染することとなる。後者の成形された
カート/を殺菌する場合は、折り重ね部分以外のカート
ン内部の殺菌は前述の殺菌方法にて容易に実施可能であ
るが、折り重ね部分に存在する微生物の殺菌は困難であ
る。
