[Detailed description of the invention] <Industrial application field> A device comprising a plurality of perfectly circular holes arranged in a straight line at a predetermined pitch, and in which the virtual outer circumferential circles corresponding to the holes partially overlap. The present invention relates to a joint used for a porous hose made of an integrally molded elastomer material, in which a plurality of insertion tubes are arranged on a single substrate in correspondence with the pores of the porous hose.

<Prior Art> A porous hose H is used, for example, in an automobile engine to connect a exhaust gas purifying exhaust roll box B and a carburetor C, as shown in FIG.

この連結の際、ジヨイントJが使用される。A joint J is used during this connection.

Conventionally, the outer periphery of the insertion tube of the J-joint J has generally been a perfect circle (see Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 47-4933, etc.).

<Problem to be solved by the invention> For this reason, leakage is likely to occur when a porous hose and a joint are fitted in such a manner that the virtual outer circle centered on the porous hole partially overlaps as shown in Figure 3. Ta.

The reason is as follows. Insertion tube at b, C,
When the hose d is inserted into the holes of the porous hose H, the rubber around the periphery of each hole tends to move in the radial direction by the amount of tightening.

For this reason, assuming a single hose with a virtual outer circumference for each hole, the virtual outer circumferences of each single hose are in a relationship that partially overlaps, so the pressing force is applied from both sides or one side by the adjacent single hose. The shape is the same as the one received, the porous hole is deformed into a vertically elongated shape (extending in the Y-Y direction), and the pressing force of the hole periphery of the porous hose against the insertion cylinder in the vertical (Y-Y) direction is reduced.

In view of the above, when used in a porous hose in which the virtual outer circumferential circles corresponding to the holes partially overlap, even if the holes are deformed vertically when inserted into the insertion tube, the deformation is prevented. It is an object of the present invention to provide a joint for a porous hose that absorbs water and can exert good sealing performance by bringing the rubber at the periphery of the hole into substantially uniform pressure contact over the entire circumference of the insertion tube.

<Means for solving the problem> This porous hose joint is located in the middle of a plurality of insertion tubes arranged corresponding to the porous hoses on a single board, excluding the insertion tubes located at both ends. The cross-sectional outer circumferential shape of all the insertion tubes is an ellipse whose short axis and long axis are the arrangement direction of the insertion tubes and the direction perpendicular thereto, and whose short axis is the same as or slightly larger than the hole diameter of the porous hose, In addition, in the cross-sectional outer circumferential shape of the insertion tubes located at both left and right ends of the insertion tubes, the inner half cut vertically in the direction perpendicular to the arrangement direction of the insertion tubes is the right half and the left half, respectively, of the ellipse divided by the long axis. The above problem is solved by having the outer half being the same as a semicircle obtained by dividing a perfect circle whose diameter is the major axis of the ellipse.

In FIGS. 1 and 2, four insertion tubes 1 are installed on the surface of the oblong plate-shaped base plate 5 at the same pitch as the hole pitch of the porous hose H.
.. 2. 3. 4 are integrally protruded in one row (on a straight line), and a hole 6 is concentrically bored in each insertion tube so as to penetrate through the base plate portion 5 as well.

The cross-sectional outer circumferential shape of the insertion tubes 2 and 3 located in the middle excluding the insertion tubes 1 and 4 located at both ends of the insertion tubes is such that the insertion tube arrangement direction XX and the direction Y-Y perpendicular thereto are the short axes, respectively. It is an ellipse whose long axis is the same as or slightly larger than the hole diameter of the porous hose H.

In the case of an insertion tube, the inner half cut along the straight line y) is the same as the right half and left half of the ellipse divided by the long axis, and the outer half is a perfect circle whose diameter is the long axis of the ellipse. The joint of this embodiment is fitted with a porous hose in the same way as in the past, but when assuming a single hose for each hole as described above, each single hose is also in a shape that receives pressing force from both sides or one side. As a result, the hole becomes vertically long.

However, since the outer circumferential shape of each insertion tube is an ellipse or the right half or left half of an ellipse divided in the vertical direction on one side, these deformations are absorbed, and the rubber around the hole is distributed almost evenly around the entire circumference of the insertion tube. Provides pressure contact and good sealing performance.

<Effects of the invention> As mentioned above, the porous hose joint of this invention has the following effects:
Since the portion of the outer circumferential cross-sectional shape of the insertion tube on the side facing the adjacent insertion tube is constituted by the right half or left half of an ellipse divided in the vertical direction, the following effects are achieved.

When the virtual outer circumferential circles corresponding to the porous holes are in a relationship where they partially overlap, the deformation of the hole when the insertion tube is inserted does not reduce the pressing force of the hole peripheral portion of the porous bose against the insertion tube in the vertical direction.

In addition, in order to prevent leakage, when inserting the insertion tube, the hole pitch should be widened or the hole diameter should be made small so that the individual hoses do not interfere with each other, that is, they cover each other's imaginary outer circumferential circles. It is conceivable to increase the interference with respect to the insertion tube.

However, in the former case, the space occupied by the porous hose becomes large, which is undesirable from the standpoint of effective space utilization, and in the latter case, it becomes difficult to insert the mi-joint into the porous hose, which is undesirable from the standpoint of installation workability.

On the other hand, in the porous hose of this invention, these problems do not occur, the porous hose can be made more compact than the former, and the installation workability is improved compared to the latter.
