Abstract

CONSTITUTION:The encoder disk 11 is fitted to a shaft of a motor 8 for driving a carriage 3 on which the printing head 2 capable of printing in forward and backward directions is mounted, and the disk 11 is provided with two position sensors 12, 13. A signal from one 12 of the position sensors is used as a timing signal in rightward printing, and a signal from the other is used as a timing signal in leftward printing.
