Abstract

PURPOSE:To transmit to the desired address efficiently by transmitting to the desired address the mail of the picture signal having the different address stacked by recognizing the address with character recognizing functions. CONSTITUTION:A picture signal 1 is stored through a receiving section 11 to a mail memory section 13. A page end mark counter section 14 detects all page end marks 4 included in the picture signal 1, counts the bit number and it page number from a head 2 to respective page end mark 4 of the picture signal and the table corresponding to every page is stored at the mail memory section 13. A mail start page extraction section 15 extracts the following mail start page 3 by referring to the above-mentioned table based upon the recognition results (Page number) of the mail before an address recognition section 16 in order and transfers the mail start page 3 picture signal to the address recognition section 16. After transfer ends, the address recognition section 16 extracts prescribed character pattern from the picture signal of the transferred said mail start page 3 and recognizes characters, extracts the mail control information such as address, page number, etc., and informs information of page number to the mail start page extraction section 15, and informs the mail control information to mail transmission section 17.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Field of the Invention) The present invention relates to a stack processing method, in particular, a stack processing method that accumulates image signals, recognizes character patterns included in the image signals, and generates image signals as appropriate based on the results. The present invention relates to a mail input method that allows mails with different contents to be stacked by dividing and transmitting each divided image signal to a desired destination.

Reader) In a method that sends mail with both signals input from a device or a fax 7mm transmitter, etc. to a desired destination, the mail contains information such as the destination, page number, etc. 11 □ 11
? A method is known in which a mark sheet containing fll+ information is added and the mail is sent to a desired destination by reading the marks of the mark sort. However, the number of selection items that can be entered is limited by the size of the paper because the number of selection items that can be entered using the mark sheet increases as the number of selection items increases. For this reason, with regard to mail control information that has many selection items, input using a mark sheet has the disadvantage that it is not possible to flexibly deal with the diversity of input information.

This stacks emails with different destinations and contents into one
This is because there was a drawback that it was not possible to manually divide and extract mails with different contents from the input image signal and send them to the desired destination using the input image signal.

(Structure and operation of the invention) FIG. 1 is an explanatory diagram showing an example of application of the present invention, in which a sheet of mail A and its addressee α and a sheet of mail B and its addressee 2 are placed in a stack section C. When stacked and manually transmitted from the facsimile transmitter FAX, the stack transmission processing device to which the method of the present invention is applied will write destinations a and l+/recognize the characters on this paper and recognize destinations a and b. Based on this, mail A and mail B corresponding to the desired facsimile receiver FAX (Z and FAXb, respectively) are output.

Although the above explanation has been made regarding the case of using a facsimile 7mm transmitter, the present invention is not limited to this, and can also be applied to a transmitter that utilizes an image human-powered device such as an image OCR ( Effects) As explained above, the present invention uses destination recognition with a character recognition function to send mails with stacked image signals of different destinations to a desired destination, so it is possible to write a mail control with many selection items. It has the advantage of being able to respond flexibly, and also allows you to enter a large number of emails with different destinations at once and send them efficiently and accurately to the desired destination.
This has the advantage of saving labor and speeding up email input.
