Abstract

PURPOSE:To release the mulfunction display in the stage of defective feed-in in accordance with the output from a detecting means which detects any operation among the operations for opening and closing a platen cover in an original imposing part, removing the defectively fed-in original and setting a mode for imposing the original from the original imposing part. CONSTITUTION:The control system is constituted of a read-only-memory (ROM) 1 which stores the program for controlling the copying operation, a central processing unit (CPU) 2 which executes the control process for the copying operation and malfunction display according to the program stored in the ROM1, a control panel 3 which inputs the operating contents of the copying machine thereto, a random-access-memory (RAM) 4 for storing data, a display part 5 which displays the mulfunction, the number of copies, etc., a platen switch P.SW which detects the opening and closing of the platen cover in the original imposing part and an input switch I.SW which detects the defectively fed-in original remaining in an original input device. The CPU2 releases immediately the FAIL display when the platen cover is opened or the defectively fed original is removed in an SADH mode.
