Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a skin material having spot patterns on the surface thereof, ensuring that dust or the like adhered thereto is less conspicuous and being useful for automotive interior trim or the like, by a method wherein a mixture comprising at least two kinds of plastic powders is melted in a heated mold to form a film. CONSTITUTION:The mixture of at least two kinds of plastic powders, preferably, having particle diameters of 80-150mum, e.g., plastic powders differing in color, melting temperature or particle size, is thrown into the mold 2 heated to, for example, 150-120 deg.C. After thus heating for a predetermined period of time, preferably, while effecting rotation or the like to form a molten resin layer with a uniform thicknes, the layer is solidified by cooling to obtain the desired skin material. The mold 2 has a desired cavity 1, and is heated by a heater or the like passed through the pipes 4. EFFECT:Suitable for multiple-type small-lot production through changing colors of the components, the ratio of the particle diameters thereof or the like.

It is manufactured from a plastic sheet by A-shaped molding or the like, and due to the limitations of the molding method of the plastic sheet, it is forced to be monochromatic, and the color tone tends to be monotonous. Furthermore, plastic has the disadvantage that it is easily charged with static electricity and that dust and the like tend to adhere to it, and when combined with the above-mentioned single color, the dust and the like tend to stand out even more.

Therefore, the present invention aims to provide a method for producing a plastic skin material having a speckled pattern and a falling pattern on the surface as these interior skin materials. The method includes placing a mixture of the above-mentioned glass stick powder into a heated mold and melting the mixture to produce a skin material having a speckled pattern on the surface.

A predetermined amount of these mixtures is poured into a mold 2 having a desired cavity 1 as shown in FIG. The mold 2 is heated in advance to a predetermined temperature (150-200'C), and the glass powder put into the cavity 1 is melted and welded to each other one after another. The excess powder is discharged.

Mold 2 is further heated for a certain period of time, and the injected powder is completely absorbed. The rsmtb fat layer has a predetermined thickness of 8j'l. At this time, it is preferable to give the mold 2 a rotational motion or a rotational motion of 1/l to make the molten fat layer uniform in thickness.

In addition, during molding, the powder components are a mixture of different colors, especially two N with different melting temperatures! Since it is a powder mixture as described above or a powder mixture with different particle sizes, the outermost layer surface of the skin material 6 attached to the mold surface is in a mixed state of two or more powder components as shown in FIG. It will be formed as it is. In other words, the skin material 6 can have a spotted pattern.

As described above, in the present invention, a mixture consisting of two or more types of plastic powder components is put into a heated mold, and a molten resin layer (skin material) is formed in the mixed state as it is, so that it can be molded. The skin material has the characteristic that a surface having a mixed pattern of spots can be formed with good reproducibility. In addition, by changing the color and particle size ratio of each component of the mixture, it has the advantage of being able to easily provide skin materials with different spotted patterns, making it suitable for high-mix, low-volume production. It has a number of possible advantages.
