Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten time for communication in a facsimile equipment having function of answer phone etc., by cutting off the answer phone and shifting to facsimile operation as soon as non-voice terminal signal from transmitting side is detected. CONSTITUTION:When a call signal is inputted to a facsimile FX equipment from a circuit 1 and receiving side starts action, a signal from a voice composing LSI2 is amplified 3, and voice is outputted to the circuit 1 through an analog switch 4, a hybrid HYB5, a continuous loop transformer 7, a cml relay 8. When transmitting side sends out single tone of a non-voice terminal signal, voice of receiving side and single tone of transmitting side are composed until the circuit, and outputted through the HYB5, and a receiving equalizer 9, and composed signal b and voice signal a are inputted to a differential amplifier 10. Voice of the output signal c of the amplifier 10 is canceled, and only single tone is detected. The receiving side is enabled to discriminate automatically whether the transmitting side is an FX device or not, and enabled to shift to FX operation.

In the case of a conventional facsimile device with an answerphone, when a call is made to this device, the voice from the answerphone is transmitted to the calling party. However, if the calling party does not need an automatic calling facsimile machine or its voice, the calling party cannot proceed to facsimile operation and is forced to wait until the voice ends.

An object of the present invention is to recognize a non-voice terminal signal from the other party's facsimile device in a facsimile device having an answerphone function, thereby immediately interrupting the answerphone operation and switching to facsimile operation, thereby reducing communication time. The purpose is to shorten the time and improve operability.

The present invention provides a facsimile machine or the like that has a function of transmitting audio to the calling party when an answer phone call or the like is received, so that the receiving party can:
By monitoring the line signal during voice transmission, detecting a non-voice terminal signal (single tone) from the calling side using a differential amplifier, and immediately interrupting voice transmission and transitioning to facsimile operation after detection. The aim is to shorten communication time and improve operability.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. The figure shows the overall configuration of an automatic identification circuit for a facsimile machine according to the present invention. When a calling signal is input from line 1 and the receiving side starts up, it is amplified by amplifier 3 from speech synthesis LSI 2, and sent to line 1 via analog switch 4, hybrid transformer 5.0 link 6, DC loop transformer 7, and C77LZ relay 8. Audio is transmitted. Now, if the calling side sends a non-voice terminal signal (single tone), line 1
, the voice of the called side and the single tone of the calling side are synthesized, and
U link 6, hybrid transformer 5. Through the reception equalizer 9, it is possible to monitor the line signal. Therefore, the transmitted audio is input to the differential amplifier 10 via the signal line α, and the composite signal from the line 1 is input via the signal line α. The audio data is canceled and output to the output signal line C. Therefore, if a non-voice terminal signal is sent from the calling side, it is possible to detect only this signal through the signal line C.

Once it is determined that the device is compatible, it is possible to shift to facsimile operation. Therefore, if there is no need for the calling side to listen to the answerphone announcement, the calling side can interrupt the answerphone function on the called side at that point and shift to facsimile operation, reducing communication time. In addition, since the receiving side can switch to facsimile operation based on the signal from the calling side, it is possible to provide more time for announcements using the answer phone.
It is possible to enrich the announcement content.
