る。Conventionally, there are two methods for fixing contacts to the backboard in card edge type insertion/removal connectors: press-fitting and soldering. In the case of press-fitting, it is necessary to select an appropriate wall thickness of the press-fitted part of the backboard and the dimensions of the press-fitted part of the contact. Since it is necessary to precisely control the size of the large holes in the backboard, i.e., the press-fit allowance, for mass production, a group of contacts arranged at the correct spacing is inserted into a backboard with loose through-holes printed on the periphery. The most commonly used method is to pass through a molten solder bath.
Cleaning is required because the flux scattered and deposited during soldering impairs the movement of the mechanism, requiring a large force to drive the slider and causing poor contact on the contact surface.

There were many problems with cleaning.

The present invention provides a no-insertion/extraction-force connector which can be assembled afterward to prevent the adverse effects of flux.

The upper part of the contact 3 has a slit 32, and the tip part including the contact part 33 is divided into two parts, each having a curved part. A drop-off prevention protrusion 34.34' is provided on the outside near the base,
When assembling the contact 3 from the bottom of the housing 4, the width W1 of the intermediate passage 43 is slightly narrower than the width W2 between both ends of the drop-off prevention protrusion 34, 34', so the slit 3
The contact 3 is elastically deformed in the direction of narrowing the contacts 2 and passes through, and after passing through, it returns to its original shape and the falling-off prevention protrusions 34, 34' engage the steps 44 of the housing 4, thereby preventing the contacts 3 from falling downward. .

1 is engaged with the locking hole 41 and assembled, and a part of the back surface of the contact 3 is inserted into the post accommodation groove 4 as a sliding contact 38.
The contact 3 protrudes from the contact point 7 and comes into contact with the post 1 after it is housed, and slides against the post 1 when the contact 3 moves up and down, thereby always providing electrical continuity between the contact 3 and the post 1.
