Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a uniformly coated film while lessening fluctuation of a liquid level and preventing foaming by immersing a cylinder which is open at both ends into a coating liquid contg. a photoconductive compd. and coating simultaneously said liquid on the inside and outside surface of the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The coating liquid 2 contg. the photoconductive compd. is injected into a coating device 1. A cylindrical base 3 with both ends opened is supported internally by a supporting member 6 and is lowered and immersed into the liquid 2 so that the liquid 2 is coated simultaneously on the inside and outside surface of the base 3. The fluctuation of the surface of the liquid 2 is thus limited only to the volume corresponding to the wall thickness of the base 3 and is thereby lessened. Foaming is prevented as well. The easy coating of the paint to the base 3 with good working efficiency is thus made possible.
