Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve considerably the capacity for leveling a sheet material with simple modification of the conventional roller leveler in a roller leveler which passes the sheet material between upper and lower leveling roll groups by providing a pinch roll group before said roll groups on the sheet feed side. CONSTITUTION:The sheet material 3 having a defective shape is fed between the upper and lower rolls of the leveling roller group A constituted of the upper and lower leveling rolls 1, 1..., 2, 2..., by which the shape is corrected. The pinch roll group B consisting of the roll pairs of upper and lower pinch rolls 4, 5 is provided before the roll group A on the material 3 feed side. The group B grasps under the pressure the material 3 between the rolls 4 and 5 and transfers the material into a direction X so as to feed the material into the group A. The internal stress distribution of the defective shape material having edge waves is thus increased and the stress distribution is created particularly in the top end of the sheet as well. The satisfactory leveling effect is thus obtd.

グロール群の間に通過せしめ、上下ロール間で板材に塑
性変形を与えて板形状を矯正するローラレベラが設備さ
れる。特に、厚板圧延ラインの後端位置には、圧延され
た厚板の形状不良、平坦度不良を矯正する傾動圧下方式
のローラレベラが通常設置されている。ここでいう傾動
圧下方式とは、上下レベリングロールの圧下量を前後(
板進行)方向に傾斜状〔例えば入側の圧下を大きく出側
の圧下を小さく〕に調整し得る如く構成したものである

ール群を設けたことを特徴とする。このピンチロール群
によシ板材を押え込んでレベリングロールに送り込むこ
とにより、従来不可能であった板材頭端部の矯正が可能
とな9、完全に板材の矯正を遂行することができる。

効果を発揮できる。また、従来のローラレベラでは矯正
できない板材頭端部をも矯正でき、ローラレベラの矯正
能力を大幅に向上できる。また、本発明は従来のローラ
レベラの構成にピンチロール群を付加するだけであるか
ら、既存の設備に容易に適用して目的を達成することが
できる。
