Abstract

PURPOSE:To perfectly seal and connect the liquid chamber part and nozzle part of a recording head so as to prevent the leakage of an ink liquid by eliminating the deformation of a nozzle plate, by separately preparing the liquid chamber part and nozzle part of the recording head before applying plating connection thereto. CONSTITUTION:After a single-nozzle plate 1 and a liquid chamber part 2 are separately prepared with high accuracy, the nozzle plate is mounted to the matching part 5 provided to the front surface of the liquid chamber part 2 and electroplating 6 is subsequently performed so as to be extended over the edge part of the single-nozzle plate 1 and the liquid chamber part 2 therearound. The range applying electroplating is determined on the basis of the strength, size and shape of the nozzle plate, the ink pressurizing force for injecting ink in the ink liquid communication part of the liquid chamber and the shape of matching and arrangement. A force, such that the nozzle plate is deformed, is not added at the time of connection, and the nozzle plate and the liquid chamber part can be connected to a recording head in a hermetically sealed state with highly processed accuracy.

Finally, in order to obtain a high quality print quality in an ink sheet recording device, it is necessary to form a minute nozzle for ejecting ink. In particular, in the case of a multi-nozzle type having nine injection IIs, this viscosity IW is required. By the way, forming the nozzle part, which requires high precision, separately from the liquid chamber part has many difficulties in the processing accuracy of the nozzle shape, so the nozzle part and the liquid chamber part are separated, and the nozzle part is separated from the liquid chamber part. It has been proposed to form a recording head section by applying photolithography technology as a nozzle plate with high precision and then joining the nozzle section and the liquid chamber section. However, in the conventionally proposed nozzle plate, the nozzle plate was mechanically fixed to the liquid chamber by a presser plate or fixed with adhesive, so the flatness of the presser plate and the tightening strength varied. Otherwise, the nozzle plate may be deformed due to variations in the thickness of the adhesive layer, uneven fixing pressure, etc.! There was y.

The invention of Rouxin was made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances.
When the nozzle part and liquid chamber part are separated, the nozzle part is processed with high precision as a nozzle plate, and the two are joined, the nozzle plate is not deformed and the ink liquid is completely sealed to prevent leakage. The present invention aims to provide a method for manufacturing an inkjet recording head that is bonded.

Note that the nozzle plate may be loaded and arranged using a jig or a method using a conductive adhesive. The range to which the multiphase plating is applied may be appropriately determined depending on the strength, size, and shape of the nozzle plate, the ink pressure for ejecting ink in the ink liquid conduction path of the liquid chamber, and the shape of alignment and arrangement. Further, in the above embodiment, the nozzle plate and the liquid chamber were made of metal in order to join by electrodeposition plating, but non-metallic materials were used and the joint parts were treated with a conductive coating or made conductive. After that, they may be joined by electrodeposition plating, and there is no need to worry about adverse effects on the members to be joined. Furthermore, plating is not limited to electrodeposition, and chemical plating may be used for part or all of the plating.
