Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain the tube wall temp. of a destaticizing lamp at a specified temp. or above with simple constitution by having a means for conducting the heat generated in a fixing part to the neighborhood of the surface of the destaticizing lamp and heating the tube wall of the destaticizing lamp by the heat conducted by said means. CONSTITUTION:A heating heater H is provided to the circular part of the heating roller 11a of a fixing device 11 and a heat collecting plate 17 is provided in proximity to the periphery of the roller 11a. A heat pipe 18 is used as an example for the heat conductive member which conducts the heat collected by the plate 17 to the destaticizing lamp 14. Plural pieces of the pipes 18 spaced from each other are axially disposed to the lamp 14. The space between the other end of the pipes 18 and a heat radiating plate 19 is adequately determined by the temp. of a heating roller 11a and the desired tube wall temp., etc. of the lamp 14. The roller 11a is controlled to a specified fixing temp. according to such constitution and therefore the tube wall temp. of the destaticizing lamp is maintained at the specified temp. or above by the simple constitution.

(B) Prior Art Conventionally, electrostatic recording devices such as electrophotographic copying machines and laser printers have been widely used. Taking an electrophotographic copying machine as an example, as shown in FIG. 1, an original M placed on an original platen 1 is exposed to light by an illumination lamp 2, and the reflected light from the original M is reflected by a mirror and a lens. The image is projected onto the photoreceptor drum 4 via the optical scanning system 3 that has been created. The photosensitive drum 4 is uniformly charged by the charging electrode 5, and an electrostatic latent image of the original image is formed by light reflected from the original M. The electrostatic latent image is developed and visualized by a developing device 6, and the visible image is transferred to a cassette 7.
The image is transferred to the recording paper P fed from the transfer pole 8.

Since developer remains on the photosensitive drum 4 after separating the recording paper P, the cleaning device 13 By the way, a discharge tube is normally used as the static elimination lamp 14, but the amount of light emitted by the discharge tube changes depending on the temperature of the tube wall. Therefore, in order to obtain a sufficient amount of light to completely remove the residual charge on the photoreceptor drum 4, it is necessary to raise the tube wall temperature to a certain level or higher. A heat dissipation plate 15 is placed around the outer periphery of the static elimination lamp 14 over a half-open area or more, and the PT
A method has been adopted in which a heat sink is heated to a constant temperature using a self-temperature-controlled heating element 16 such as a C (positive temperature coefficient) mister. Such a configuration requires a large number of parts and a power source for heating the heating element.

(c) Purpose and structure of the invention The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and it is an object of the present invention to maintain the tube wall temperature of a static elimination lamp above a certain humidity level with a simple structure by utilizing the heat generated in the fixing section. In order to achieve this object, a means is provided for guiding the heat generated in the fixing section to the static elimination lamp, and the tube wall of the static elimination lamp is heated by this heat.

A heater H is provided inside the heating reeler lla of the fixing device 11, and a heat collecting plate 17 is provided close to the periphery of the heating roller 11a. A heat conducting member that guides the heat collected by the 18Vi heat collecting plate 17 to the static elimination lamp 14.
- Heat 7 Quip is used as an example. As is well known, the heat nozzle 18 is a metal pipe with a liquid sealed inside, and the heat applied to one end is transferred uniformly and quickly to the other end by the convection action created by vaporizing the liquid sealed inside. introduce. On the other hand, a plurality of heat pipes 18 are arranged spaced apart in the axial direction of the static elimination lamp 14. Static elimination lamp 14

With this configuration, during the copying cycle of the copying machine, the heating roller lla is heated and controlled to a constant fixing temperature, so the heat transferred to the other end by the heat/quiz 18 is almost constant. The temperature of the tube wall of the static elimination lamp 14 also becomes approximately constant. Therefore, when all of the static elimination lamps 14 are lit, the amount of light emitted is always constant, and a sufficient static elimination effect can be obtained. Note that the heat transferred by the heat pipe 18 is dissipated.

FIG. 4 shows the main parts of another embodiment of the heating device according to the present invention. In this embodiment, instead of using a heat pipe, heat generated in the fixing section is blown in the direction of the static elimination lamp 14 by a fan 17. In this way, the temperature of the tube wall of the lamp 14 is maintained at a constant temperature or higher. In this embodiment as well, the hot air that has heated the static elimination lamp 14 is discharged to the outside of the machine through a suitable passage.
