Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease manufacture processes by constituting the titled recorder that a character signal is mixed and then an excess signal is limited to a prescribed level by a clip circuit in converting a video signal mixed with the character signal into a TV radio wave signal to eliminate the need for adjustment of the mixed level of the character signal to be mixed. CONSTITUTION:A video signal demodulated at a tuner 2 at recording, or a video signal demodulated by a reproducing circuit 5 at reproduction is mixed with a character signal obtained at a character signal generator 10 by means of a character signal adder circuit 7 via a switch 6, the result is limited by a clip circuit comprising a diode D1, resistors R1, R2 and R3 and a capacitor C1 so as not to be an excess signal and the result is fed to an RF modulator 9 via an amplifier 8 and outputted to an output terminal 12 as a TV radio wave signal. The clip setting level is set nearly to 120% on the condition that the character signal is discriminated even when a 100% video signal is inputted and the RF modulator is not over-modulated.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Application of the Invention] The present invention relates to a video tape recorder (hereinafter referred to as ■几 and -f').
The operating mode of the VT)L Ic is configured to display the operation status such as recording, stop, playback, reception channel, tape counter, timer display, etc. on the screen of the monitor bar that monitors the output signal of the 'v'rg. related.

In a conventional VTR, when displaying the operating status, timer display, tape counter display, etc. on the screen of a monitor TV, as shown in Figure 3, the video signal demodulated by the tuner 2 during recording, and the playback circuit during playback. The video signal demodulated in step 5 is mixed with the character signal obtained by character signal generator 10 in character signal addition circuit 7 via switch 6. The mixed signal passes through an amplifier 8 and then is supplied to a W modulator 9 that converts the video signal into a TV radio signal, and is outputted to an output terminal 12 as a TV radio signal. In order to display a character signal on the monitor W, it is necessary to select a video signal higher than the 100% white signal level so that the character signal can be distinguished even when the maximum 000-white level is input. However, when the level becomes excessive, the RF transformer that converts the video signal into a TV radio wave signal becomes idle, and when the overmodulated signal is received by a TV monitor, it interferes with the audio signal, creating an audio buzz and producing abnormal noise. In order to prevent these interferences and to make the character signal distinguishable, it is necessary to set the character signal level several orders of magnitude higher than the 100-white signal of the video signal, so the variable resistor 11 is used to adjust the character signal level. is provided. For this reason, there is a drawback that the adjustment procedure is increased compared to conventional VTRs that do not have a character display function, which increases costs in the production process.

The object of the present invention is that even if a circuit is added to display the operating status of the VTR, reception channel, timer, counter, etc. using new functions such as character signals as described above,
(2) The goal is to reduce costs by reducing the amount of increase in the production process.

When a video signal mixed with a character signal is exchanged into a TV radio signal, the variable modulator of the converter over-modulates the video signal. When the overmodulated signal is received by the monitor W, an audio buzz occurs and an abnormal sound is generated. In order to prevent this from occurring, the system is configured to suppress the level of the mixed character signal to a certain level without adjusting it.

The clip setting level for this 8AVc is approximately 120%, provided that the character signal can be distinguished even if a 100-inch video signal is input, and that the variable modulator does not overmodulate.
It is set to . The signal level is shown in FIG. 2. [Effects of the Invention] According to the present invention described above, the structure is such that after mixing character signals, excessive signals are suppressed to a certain level by a clip circuit, so that mixing is not possible. There is no need to adjust the mixing level of character signals to 14, which reduces the number of production steps and reduces costs.
