The contact area (contact area) is determined only by the thin plate thickness and is small, so the torque receiving member, which is usually cast from a relatively soft metal such as aluminum, is easily damaged by the backing metal due to vibrations during running. Therefore, it was necessary to separately attach a guide plate made of a hard metal plate to the guide portion of the torque receiving member.

The present invention provides a friction pad guide device for a disc brake that can be used without special finishing work on the guide portion of a torque receiving member.

In the disc brake, the pair of guide parts are suspended and supported by the pair of guide parts so as to be slidable in the axial direction of the disc via an integrated back metal on the back surface of the disc. The back metal includes two guide surfaces, a vertical guide surface that extends substantially vertically to each other in the placed position, and a horizontal guide surface that extends substantially horizontally from a portion of the vertical guide surface that is located on the outer diameter side of the disk. A vertically bent portion that is formed by bending both end portions at right angles to the side away from the disk surface so as to contact the vertically guiding surface of the guide portion, and slides on the vertically guiding surface; a horizontally bent portion that slides on the guide surface formed by bending an upper end portion located on the outer diameter surface of the disk approximately in the circumferential direction of the disk; The bending length is configured to be larger than the wall thickness of the backing metal, so that the backing metal fits into the vertical guide surface and the horizontal guide surface of the torque receiving member at the vertically bent portion and the horizontally bent portion at both ends thereof. Even if the backing metal moves closer to the disk side due to wear of the friction pad, the vertical and horizontal bent portions are located on the side retreating from the disk, so it will guide the backing metal without falling off. It will be held on the surface.
