Abstract

PURPOSE:To moderate uncomfortableness of sultry or cold room to be felt immediately after a person gets on a car by having a cooling (or heating) face of a Peltier element occupy an area, especially, to which a human body is easy to access, inside a car wherein an air conditioner is not fully operated yet because an engine is just started, so as to locally and quickly cool or heat said area. CONSTITUTION:At the upper face of an arm rest framework 8 attached to a door panel B, an arm rest face has an open part 8a from which the heat transferring face 2 of a Peltier element 1 is exposed. A Peltier element heat source body 1 wherein the Peltier element 1 has the heat transferring face 2 and a radiating fin 3 joined on the opposite faces thereof is mounted to a cylindrical body 10 which can be turned inside a bellow part of an arm rest. When the heat source body is used, the cylindrical body is turned clockwise until a detent 12 shown on the drawing pushes a power opening/closing microswitch 13 to turn on a power. The action of the cylindrical body 10 is then restraint by the engagement of the ratchet 15 of a stopper 14 into a dent 16. Heat from the heat source body circulates inside the hollow arm rest and is then radiated to the outside of a car after passing through ventilation holes 8b and 8c.

According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the heat generating (or cooling) side of the Peltier element is placed on the inner wall surface of the wall portion (heat transfer surface) made of a good thermal conductor of the rotatable cylindrical body including the cylindrical wall portion made of a good thermal conductor. The heat transfer surface of the heat source body having heat dissipation fins attached thereto is brought to a temperature-controlled area by rotating the cylindrical body, and is configured to be able to be removed from this area, and the cylindrical body is a switch mechanism that operates in conjunction with the movement of the cylinder for supplying operating power to the Peltier element when the cylinder wall made of a thermally conductive material is rotated and brought to a temperature-controlled area; When the cylindrical body and a concave hole or other engaged member provided in a part of the body are brought to the temperature adjustment region, the cylindrical body is heated by the action of an electromagnet that is energized in conjunction with the movement of the cylindrical body. A donkey or other engaging member for stopping the cylinder that is engaged with the engaging member is attached, and by separating the center of gravity of the rotatable cylinder from the cylinder shaft of the cylinder, the transmission is reduced when energized. The structure is such that the weight of the cylindrical body is balanced and the cylindrical body stops rotating at a position where the heating surface is brought outside the range of temperature control.

The Peltier element heat source body is constructed by joining a heat transfer surface 2 and a heat radiation fin 3 to both sides of a Peltier element 1, respectively. It is assembled to this cylindrical body 10 in such a way that the heat transfer surface 2 is replaced. This figure shows a state in which the Peltier element heat source is not in use, and the heat source is immersed in the inner space of the armrest 6 and protected. A portion 10a of the cylindrical body wall exposed to the surface of the armrest is covered with a pad material 11 so as not to impair the feel and appearance. When you want to use a Peltier element heat source,
When the cylindrical body 10 is pushed with a fingertip or the like and rotated to the left as shown by the arrow in the figure, the protrusion 12 provided on the outer surface of the cylindrical body 10
However, the power is turned on by pressing the power supply opening/closing microswitch 13 provided in the inner space of the armrest, and then the six pieces 15 of the stopper 14, which is moved in and out by an electromagnet for stopping the rotation of the cylinder body 10, protrude. The movement of the cylinder 10 is restricted by fitting into a recessed hole 16 formed in the outer surface of the cylinder 10, which is brought to a position just opposite to the six pieces 15. Therefore, even if the passenger rubs the exposed cylinder wall surface with his elbow, the cylinder body 10 will no longer rotate inadvertently, and there is no fear that the power will be cut off. Heat generated from the Peltier element heat source is radiated to the interior of the armrest through the heat radiation fins 3, and then to the outside of the vehicle through ventilation holes 8b and 8C provided at the bottom and side surfaces of the armrest.

Figures 7 and 8 show side cross-sections of the device of the present invention when it is attached to a foldable armrest H assembled to a vehicle seat G, when the armrest is folded and when it is brought to the use position, respectively. The folding armrest H has a hollow shape, and the heat transfer surface 2 is located on the top surface. As mentioned above, the heat transfer surface 2 is made of a metal with high thermal conductivity such as an aluminum plate, so when the Peltier element heat source is not required, it will spoil the feel and aesthetics.
It is preferable to attach a cover unit 24 covered with a pad material to the upper surface thereof. The cover unit 24 is attached to the armrest I through a hinge 25, and when it is desired to use the Peltier element heat source, the cover unit 24 is flipped upward and buried in a recess 26 provided in the backrest I of the seat. If you do, you won't become a deviant. 27 is a locking tool integrated with the cover,
Further, the inner space of the armrest is provided with an air pipe 28 from a ventilator and an exhaust air duct 29 for discharging the introduced air to the outside of the vehicle after cooling the heat radiation fins 3. A microswitch 30 for opening and closing the power supply circuit to the Beltier element 1 is also assembled, and the armrest H

[Scope of Claims] 1) A temperature control device for a vehicle, characterized in that at least a portion of the surface of the portion that comes into direct contact with the human body of an occupant inside the vehicle is constituted by a cooling (or heat generating) surface of a Peltier element. 2 ) The cooling (or heat generating) side of the Peltier element is joined to the inner wall surface of the thermally conductive cylindrical wall (heat transfer surface) of the rotatable cylinder including the thermally conductive cylindrical wall; The heat transfer surface of the heat source body, which has heat radiation fins attached to the (cooling) side, can be brought to and removed from the temperature-adjusted area by rotating the cylindrical body. Claim 1
Temperature control device for vehicles as described in Section 1. 3) When the cylindrical body rotates and the cylindrical wall portion made of a good thermal conductor is brought to the temperature-controlled area, the cylindrical body operates in conjunction with the movement of the cylindrical body to supply operating power to the Peltier element. (Temperature control device for a vehicle according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a switch mechanism is attached. 4) A recessed hole or other engagement device provided in a part of the cylinder body. When the mating member and the cylindrical body are brought to the temperature adjustment site,
A patent characterized in that eight pieces for stopping the cylinder and other engaging members are attached, which are engaged with the engaged member by the action of an electromagnet that is energized in conjunction with the movement of the cylinder. A temperature control device for a vehicle according to any one of claims 1 to 3. 5) By separating the center of gravity of the rotatable cylindrical body from the cylindrical shaft of the cylindrical body, the age of the cylindrical body can be adjusted at a position where the heat transfer surface is outside the temperature control area when electricity is not applied. 4. A temperature control device for a vehicle according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the cylindrical body is configured to stop rotation by balancing gravity and gravity.
