Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a product by enabling the enhancement of working efficiency or the reduction in installation cost, by applying a film to the surface of a mark formed to the back surface of a transparent substrate in an embossed pattern. CONSTITUTION:As a method for forming a protruded mark on the bach surface in a product of a transparent substrate, a hot stamping method is used. A heated mark shaped presse mold is pressed to a transfer sheet to which a release layer, a thin metal layer with a desired thickness or a color pigment layer with a desired thickness and an adhesive layer are formed. By this method, an embossed mark pattern is formed on the back surface of said substate. The thickness of this mark is appropriately selected in due regard to design effect such as three- dimensional feeling or hardness of peeling. Further, a film 4 is formed to thus formed mark and the back surface of the transparent substrate 1 by packing coating to obtain a product 5. As the transparent substrate, various glasses having a proper thickness or a plate or film of a usually used resin such as a polystyrene resin, a polyvinyl chloride resin or a polyacrylate resin are used in a desired size.

(Prior art) Among the parts such as marks used for automobiles, etc., those with excellent design and durability include those with desired marks, characters, etc. on the back side of a plate of transparent material such as glass or resin. An example is one in which a recess is formed to match the surface, metal is deposited on the entire back surface, marks, letters, etc. are polished, and a backing is then painted. Marks and characters formed by this method have a thickness that corresponds to the depth of the recess, so when viewed from the surface of the transparent material, they have a full three-dimensional effect.
Furthermore, since these are formed on the back side and protected by a transparent material, they are also highly durable.

However, in conventional methods, it is necessary to mechanically scrape the back surface of the transparent material, etch it with an appropriate etching agent, or emboss it. It is difficult to polish only the marks and letters, so the surrounding unnecessary areas must be polished before backing painting. Furthermore, the above method is complicated because the conditions differ depending on the type of transparent material.
Furthermore, there are problems such as a large number of work steps and the need for corresponding equipment, resulting in high manufacturing costs as a whole.

(Structure of the Invention) In other words, the transparent material on which the mark of the present invention is formed includes a transparent base material such as glass or resin, a mark formed in a protruding pattern on the back surface of the base material, a surface of the mark, and a mark formed on the back surface of the base material. It is characterized by comprising a coating film covering the back surface of the base material.

A hot stamping method is used as a method for forming a protruding mark on the back surface of this transparent substrate when it is used as a product. A heated mark stamp is pressed onto the transfer sheet on which a release layer, a metal thin layer of a desired thickness, a colored pigment layer of a desired thickness, and a contact M layer are formed, thereby forming a mark in an embossed pattern on the back surface. form. Optimum selection is made taking into account the design of this mark, such as its three-dimensional appearance, and its resistance to peeling.

Furthermore, a coating film is formed by backing coating on the mark formed above and the back surface of the transparent substrate. This coating film serves as the background of the mark and also fixes the mark to the back surface of the base material to prevent it from peeling off. The thickness of the coating film is not particularly limited, but in practice it is about 1
It is preferable to set the thickness to about 0 Bm to about 50 μm. The paint used for backing coating can be a conventional synthetic resin paint, such as a polyurethane resin paint, containing a desired proportion of pigments and additives such as ultraviolet absorbers.

After applying an adhesive to the back surface of the substrate, a mark may be formed by a hot stamping method using a transfer sheet consisting of a release layer and a thin metal layer, and then backing coating may be applied from thereon.

FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of the manufacturing process according to the method of the present invention for obtaining a transparent material on which the mark of the present invention is formed. The manufacturing process of the present invention includes: (1) forming marks and character shapes on the back side of the transparent material 1 by the true stamp method to obtain metal N6; (2) applying backing coating on the back side of the metal M6 and the transparent material 1; It consists only of the steps of forming a coating film 4 to produce a product 7, and is much simpler than conventional manufacturing methods. In this example, an acrylic plate with a thickness of 4 mm is used as the transparent material 1, and a 10 mm thick acrylic plate is used by hot stamping.
An aluminum layer with a thickness of 35±5 μm was formed, and a backing coating film with a thickness of 35±5 μm was further formed using a polyurethane resin paint.

The appearance of the obtained product 7 of the present invention has an excellent design comparable to that of product 5 produced by the conventional method. Further, if the manufacturing method of the present invention is used, no recesses are formed on the back surface of the transparent material 1, so even if the transparent material 1 is in the form of a thin film, a product with excellent design can be obtained by the same method.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, since the transparent material on which the mark of the present invention is formed does not have a recess formed on the back surface of the transparent material, problems such as a decrease in strength will not occur even if a rough material is used, and the material will not deteriorate. The selection range is very wide.

In addition, the manufacturing method of the present invention for obtaining a transparent material with the above mark formed thereon uses a hot stamping method to form the mark on the back side of the transparent material, thereby omitting the complicated steps such as vapor deposition and polishing that are required in conventional methods. This makes it possible to improve work efficiency and reduce equipment costs, and it is also effective in reducing product costs because products with the same quality as conventional products can be manufactured at low cost.
