It is. In the sorter device described above, the sheets C to be collated are fed into the storage tray b by an index roll C and an idler roll d which are movably provided on the entrance side of the storage tray b. If e is folded in half beforehand, the folded part of paper - is thicker, so
There was a problem in that the number of sheets that could be stored in storage tray b was significantly reduced compared to unfolded sheets d.

On the entrance side of the storage tray 1, an index roll 3 and an idle roll 4 are provided which are moved up and down by a drive means (not shown) to distribute the sheets 2 to each storage tray 1. 5 is a size change line provided vertically in the middle of the storage tray I, and when the size of the sheets 2 to be collated is selected using a switch (not shown), the size change line is automatically changed from arrows (A) to ( b) In addition to moving in the direction shown in FIG. A plurality of the detectors 6 are installed for each storage tray 1, and are designed to detect the amount of sheets 2 stored in the storage tray 1, for example, photoelectrically. Based on the signal detected by the detector 6, the size change line 5 operates as follows.

In this state, the Z-folded sheets 2 are successively collated into the storage tray 1, and the sheets 2 stored in the storage tray 1 are stopped at the size change line 5 and stacked one after another.
収容トレイ1内の用紙2がある量に達すると。When the paper 2 in the storage tray 1 reaches a certain amount.
これを検出器6が検出して信号を出力するため。This is because the detector 6 detects this and outputs a signal.

Thereafter, the sheets 2 to be stored are sequentially stacked on the rear ends of the sheets 2 already stored. When the paper 2 stacked in the second layer reaches the specified lid,
The size change line 5 moves back to the position shown in Figure 3 (e) again,
The paper 2 in the right circle of the storage tray also naturally falls to the position of the size change row 5, and the paper 2 is stored in the storage tray 1 again.

Unlike the case where sheets 2 are stored, there is no problem such as the next sheet 2 entering between sheets 20 already stored and disrupting the order.

As a result, the storage capacity of the storage tray will not be reduced even when the paper 2 is folded in half and the folded portion becomes thicker, and since the size change row 5 is used, the configuration is It is also easy and inexpensive to implement.
