Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a film from adhering by fusing with an original and prevent the clearness of images of a printed matter from being degraded, by laminating a porous base and a polyester film provided on its surface with a layer comprising a metallic salf of a fatty acid as a main constituent. CONSTITUTION:A porous base and a polyester film are laminated on each other by an emulsion or solution of a polyvinyl acetate resin or the like. Separately, a coating liquid is prepared by dissolving a metallic salt of a fatty acid in a solvent such as water, an alcohol and a hydrocarbon in a concentration of 0.5-3% at room temperature or with heating. Then, the coating liquid is applied to the polyester film, and is dried to provide a layer of the metallic salt of the fatty acid on the surface of the film, thereby producing a heat-sensitive stencil paper. Lithium, potassium, sodium or calcium salt or other metallic salt of stearic acid, pulmitic acid or other fatty acid is used as said metallic salt of the fatty acid.

Heat-sensitive stencil paper is known in which a plastic film made of a thermoplastic resin having a thickness of about 2 to 10 microns is laminated to a support such as tengujo paper, synthetic fiber paper, various woven fabrics, or non-woven fabrics. In order to create stencil paper from such base paper, the original is brought into close contact with the film of the original paper and irradiated with light containing infrared rays, and the part of the film that is in contact with the black area of the original absorbs more infrared rays and becomes hotter. Conventionally, it has been adopted to melt or agglomerate only the materials before drilling.

In recent years, it has been proposed to create perforations by heating the base paper with a heat-sensitive element used in thermal printers and facsimiles. Conventionally, vinyl chloride-vinylidene chloride copolymer film has been practically used as the thermoplastic film to be applied to such heat-sensitive stencil paper due to the stretching and wrinkling of the film during printing. .

When using a heat-sensitive stencil paper made of a 2-4 μm polyester film bonded to a porous support, excessive infrared rays are applied when the document is brought into close contact with the stencil film and irradiated with infrared rays to create a stencil. When the film melts, the film and the original are fused together, and when the original is separated from the base paper, the film may be damaged, twisted, and deformed, which can significantly reduce the sharpness of the image quality of printed matter during mimeograph printing.

In addition, when creating a stencil using a heat-sensitive element, the heat-sensitive element and film are fused by melting the film,
In severe cases, the stencil paper may not move, or the image may be misaligned because the movement is not smooth.

That is, by laminating a polyester film to a porous support and further providing a layer containing a fatty acid metal salt as a main component on the film, there is no curling during storage, and it is possible to prevent the film from collapsing with the original during stencil production or with the heat-sensitive element. We have discovered a heat-sensitive stencil paper that does not have any fusion.

The polyester film used in the present invention is essentially a polyethylene terephthalate film. In other words, a polyethylene terephthalate film whose main component is polyethylene terephthalate resin made from polyethylene glycol and terephthalic acid is made into a thick sheet by melt extrusion, stretched vertically and horizontally under heating for orientation, and then heat-set at high temperatures. used. The thickness of the polyester film is 4μ in terms of heat-sensitive stenciling properties.

A method for forming a layer of these fatty acid metal salts on the surface of a polyester film is to add 05 to 6% of the above fatty acid metal salts to a solvent such as water, alcohol, or hydrocarbon at room temperature.
A layer of fatty acid metal salt can be provided on the surface of the polyester film by heating and melting the resin according to the symbol to create a paint, applying it onto a polyester film using a conventional method, and drying it.

As a result, when using standard heat-sensitive stencil paper with a heat-resistant release layer, the heat-sensitive element and the film of the base paper fused together during punching with a heat-sensitive facsimile machine, and the feed of the base paper stopped midway through, making it impossible to make a plate. On the other hand, all of the stencil sheets of Examples of the present invention ran smoothly after facsimile, and good printed matter could be obtained.
