Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet for OHP having excellent copy property and feed property, by providing a heat-meltable ink receiving layer to one surface of a film while providing a layer having sliding and antistatic properties imparted thereto to the other surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:The thermal transfer ink receiving layer 2 applied to a film comprising a coating composition having a resin softened at 50-100 deg.C compounded therein and, as the solvent thereof, an org. solvent such as alcohols or ketones and water can be used. In an antistatic layer 3, a water-soluble and org. solvent soluble antistatic agent such as a cationic surfactant or quaternary salt type resin can be used but one having a sliding property to a feed roll or platen roll is desirable and it is necessary that the surface electric resistivity thereof is 1X10<15>OMEGA or less. Further, the thermal transfer ink receiving layer 2 and the antistatic layer 3 are coated by a known coating method and rapidly dried to obtain a thermal recording sheet.

As methods for producing color images, there are image forming methods such as an in-jet recording method, a thermal transfer recording method, and an electrophotographic method. Among these methods, the thermal transfer recording method using a thermal head has come to be widely used because of its advantages such as low noise, the ability to make the device relatively inexpensive and compact, and excellent maintainability.

However, the 0 to! used in conventional electrophotography methods! Since the P sheet is coated with a resin having a high softening point, it has the disadvantage that ink is not transferred when it is copied using a photocopying machine using a force transfer method. Furthermore, when an untreated film is used, there are drawbacks such as poor ink receptivity and poor transportability in a copying machine due to static electricity.

First, FIG. 1 shows a schematic cross section, and 1 in the figure is a film. This film is a transparent plastic film such as a polyester film, polypropylene film, cellulose film, polyimide film, or polycarbonate film, and is a film that does not undergo deformation due to heat during ink transfer.

Furthermore, a pigment may be added for the purpose of improving the slipperiness between the ink receiving layer and the ink sheet. The amount added is preferably 10 parts by weight or less per 100 parts by weight of the resin, but if the haze of the film is 15% or less, OHP

Next, 3 in the figure is an antistatic layer. Known water-soluble and organic solvent-soluble antistatic agents such as cationic surfactants and quaternized salt-type acrylic resins can be used; A good one is desirable. Materials with poor slipperiness are undesirable because they may cause conveyance jams.

Further, the surface electrical resistance value needs to be 1×10 IsΩ or less. When it is 1QlsΩ or more, static electricity is generated, which makes it easy for dust to adhere when the sheet is handled, which causes print omission during ink transfer.
