In the case of this concrete 2 shielding body, the number of processing containers 1 having a very small actual volume for storing radioactive waste 3 increases. The thickness is generally in the range of 50 to 150 tons, and when radioactive waste is cut into appropriate dimensions and stored in a processing container, it is extremely unstable due to movement and overturning inside the container during transportation.

The present invention was devised based on various proposals from various quarters to fundamentally improve the above-mentioned problems.

As mentioned above, the purpose of the present invention is to secure an effective volume of a radioactive waste processing container and to bring the surface dose value of the processing container below a standard value by taking appropriate minimum measures. Another purpose is to obtain stability so that the processing container will not fall over during transportation, etc., and to improve work efficiency.

If we wait until after the work has been completed to consider how to dispose of the waste from large structures and products, we will end up doubling the effort and prolonging the time it takes to complete the work. To deal with such problems, if you decide in advance how to store the materials in the processing container before starting the work, the processing work can be done simultaneously during the work, and the work efficiency will be extremely smooth. Against this background, we have fundamentally reconsidered the conventional method and have come up with the present invention.

When storing waste in the multi-layered shields 4a to 4C, piping materials, waste materials from the control rod drive mechanism, etc. are cut into appropriate dimensions and inserted into the fixed support rod 6 to be placed inside. Conventionally, as shown in Fig. 1, the waste 3 is arbitrarily stored in the processing container 1, and together with the shielding body 2, the volumetric efficiency is very poor. A number of processing containers 1 must be prepared. However, in the present invention, the shielding bodies 4a to 4C have a multi-layer iron plate structure and the waste 5 is stored in the processing container 1 in an orderly manner, thereby increasing the amount of waste 5 stored, and as a result, reducing the number of processing containers. will be the same.

The fixed support rod 6 in FIG. 2 is fixed to the lower plate of the processing container 1 by welding or the like as shown in FIG. 3, but as shown in FIG. Any method of fixing it may be used.

The number of fixed supports 6 can be determined in advance based on what kind of waste is to be stored in the processing container 1, and the number of fixed support rods 6 to be attached can be determined in advance.

Furthermore, even if the waste 5 is of various types as shown in FIG. 3, it can be properly stored. Even in this case, the pitch of the fixing support rods 6 can be set in advance depending on the shape of the waste to be stored.

Although it is possible to use a case like the already known processing containers (Figs. 6 and 7), the gist of the present invention is to treat wastes as shown in Figs. 2 and 5. As a result, these detailed descriptions will be deleted.

In Fig. 2, the shields 4a, 4t) and 4C are generally 6t.
I think it is appropriate to use a shielding material in terms of production and molding, but it is also possible to use a single layer of shielding material using a thick iron plate, etc., but in that case, the dose rate of the shielding material is known in advance and the treatment container It is important to be able to keep the surface dose rate of 1 below the standard value.
