Abstract

PURPOSE:To unnecessitate to independently provide a controlling circuit for a cooling fan and contrive to reduce the number of steps in production, maintenance or the like, by a method wherein a fan motor is connected to a power source for controlling a paper-feeding motor, and an electric current passed to a head-controling circuit is used as a controlling signal. CONSTITUTION:A DC motor 1 for the cooling fan for the printing head is connected to a power source B1 for a controlling circuit 10 for the paper-feeding motor, a transistor TR2 for passing a collector current when a signal voltage is impressed on the base thereof with the motor 1 as a collector load is connected to the motor 1, and resistors 3, 4 for dividing the voltage of a power source B2 supplied to a controlling circuit 10 for the head and impressing the divided voltage on the base of the transistor TR2 is provided. The controlling circuit 10 is a circuit for controlling a motor 11 for driving a feeding roller, and is constantly supplied with electric power during when a power source switch of the printer is turned ON. Accordingly, it is unnecessitated to independently provide a controlling circuit for the cooling fan, and the number of steps in production, maintenance or the like can be reduced.

In the above configuration, when the power switch of the printer is turned on and the print start button (not shown) is operated,
Power supply B to the paper conveyance motor control circuit 10! At the same time, a power supply B2 is supplied to the print head control circuit 20. At the same time, this power supply B2 is voltage-divided by resistors 3 and 4 and applied to the transistor 20, turning on all the transistors 2 and rotating the motor 1. In this manner, when the IE source is supplied to both the paper conveyance motor control circuit 10 and the print head control circuit 20, the print head cooling fan motor 1 can perform the required cooling of the drive 1 and IJ.

The same parts as in Figure 1 are indicated by the same reference numerals, so redundant explanation will be omitted, but there is a connection between the power supply B2 and the resistor 3. This is different from the one shown in FIG. 1 in the configuration in which a Zener diode 5 is connected, and is intended for a case where a large capacitor C as shown is connected to a power supply line.

In the above configuration, when the power supply B2f is turned off in order to make an emergency stop of the printer due to the printer cover being opened, etc., the capacitor C has a large capacity, so the capacitor C is discharged.
: In short, there is no Zener diode 511. If this happens, the motor will not stop immediately, creating a safety problem. but,
By providing all of the Zener diodes 5, when the voltage of the capacitor 0'1 falls to the Zener voltage, the current flow to the resistor 3゜4 is cut off and the motor movement is immediately stopped, improving safety. be able to.
