When storing the extra connection length of the optical fiber in the extra optical fiber length storage case, the connection portion of the optical fiber must also be fixed to the substrate of the case via a fiber connection portion holder. If each optical fiber connected to the fiber connection section supported by the fiber connection section holder sways during use, there is a risk of it breaking due to repeated bending fatigue at the boundary with the fiber connection section.

(Structure of the Invention) In the optical fiber surplus length storage case according to the present invention, a bobbin having a radius greater than or equal to the minimum allowable bending radius of the optical fiber is installed on a substrate, and the outer periphery of the bobbin is used as a fiber excess length storage space. At least one pair of arc-shaped outer frames are erected on the substrate so as to surround the outer frames, and a core wire winding storage groove is provided along the circumferential direction on the outer periphery of the outer frame. In the space where the circumferential ends of the outer frames face each other, a core wire connection part holder is disposed so as to be aligned on a straight line connecting the circumferentially opposing ends of the adjacent covering outer frames. It is characterized by being supported by a substrate.

According to such an optical fiber surplus length storage case, the fiber connection part is supported by the fiber connection part holder, and both optical fibers connected to the fiber connection part are wound in the fiber winding storage groove of the outer frame. Since the optical fiber is stored and supported in a row, it is possible to reliably prevent an accident in which the optical fiber is damaged due to repeated bending fatigue being applied to the optical fiber on both sides of the fiber connecting portion. In addition, since the fiber connection portion holders are arranged so as to be aligned on a straight line connecting the circumferentially opposing ends of adjacent outer frames, the optical fibers leading to the fiber connection portion are not bent unnecessarily. It can also be prevented from being damaged. In particular, in the present invention, since the outer frame is used as a means for supporting the optical fibers leading to the fiber connection portion, there is no need to specifically install and cover the fiber supporting means, and the structure can be implemented economically. Furthermore, it is preferable to use the outer frame also as a means for wrapping the extra length, since the storage length of the extra length can be further increased.

(Example) Examples of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 7. The extra optical fiber length storage case 1 of this embodiment is as follows:
It has a rectangular flat plate-shaped substrate 2, and a disk-shaped bobbin 3 is fixed in the center of the surface of this substrate 2. The radius of the bobbin 3 is determined to be greater than or equal to the minimum allowable bending radius of the optical core. A collar 4 is provided protruding from the upper part of the outer periphery of the bobbin 3. An arc-shaped 1 is formed so as to surround the outer periphery of the bobbin 3 via the extra core length storage space 5.
A pair of outer frames 6 are provided protrudingly. In this embodiment, the height of the outer frame 6 is set lower than the height of the bobbin 3. Both end portions 6A and 6B of the inner and outer frames 6 in the circumferential direction are opposed to both end portions 6Δ and 6B of the other outer frame 6 with a space 7 extending therebetween. The inner circumferential length of these outer frames 6 is set to be approximately twice the outer circumferential length of the bobbin 3. A core wire winding storage groove 8 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of each outer frame 6 over the entire length in the circumferential direction. The core wire winding storage groove 8 is formed in such a shape that the entrance is narrow and the back is wide. A core wire connection portion holder 9 is fixedly provided on the substrate 2 in alignment with a straight line connecting the opposing ends 6Δ and 6A of the outer frames. A rising plate 10 is provided from the substrate 2 in a portion of the space 7 on the opposite side to the side where the core wire connection boulder 9 is provided, and this rising plate 10 has a pair of insertion holes. There are 11 and there are C. The bobbin 3 is covered with a cover 12 having a length extending over the outer frame 6 on both sides. Both ends of the cover 12 in the length direction are bent so as to be able to contact the upper end surface of the outer frame 6.

Such an optical fiber surplus length storage case 1 stores the surplus length of both optical fibers to be connected through the fiber locking groove 17 of each fiber holder 16, over the outer frame 6, and onto the bobbin 3 side. It is stored by winding it around the outer periphery of the bobbin 3. In this case, if the extra length of the optical core wire is an integral multiple of the outer circumference length of the bobbin 3, the IIC winding will be tightly attached to the outer circumference of the bobbin 3.
: If there is an irregular length that is less than the circumference in addition to an integer multiple of the circumference of bobbin 3, an outer circumference with an inner circumference approximately twice the circumference of bobbin 3 is used. It can be stored as a loop with slack in the extra fiber length storage space 5 surrounded by the frame 6. The part of the optical fiber near the connection part of both optical fibers is separated from the bobbin 3 and placed in a fiber winding storage groove 8 on the outer periphery of the C outer frame 6.
The core wire connection portion is fitted into the core wire connection portion holder 9 and supported by the wire connection portion holder 9. Therefore, each optical fiber connected to both ends of the fiber connection part is stored in the fiber winding storage groove 8 of the outer frame 6 and supported, so that it does not sway during use and cause repeated bending fatigue. This prevents the optical fiber from breaking at both ends of the fiber connection. After storing the extra length of the optical fiber, place the cover 12 on the bobbin 3 and the circular outer frame 6, insert the insertion leg 13 into the insertion hole 11 of the rising plate 10, and insert the hook piece 14 into the bobbin 3. The hook is fitted into the hook locking groove 15 and locked to prevent the extra length of the core wire from escaping.

(Effects of the Invention) As explained above, in the optical fiber surplus length storage case according to the present invention, the fiber connecting portion is supported by the fiber connecting portion holder, and both optical fibers connected to the fiber connecting portion are supported by the outer frame. Since the windings are stored and supported in the fiber winding storage grooves, it is possible to reliably prevent accidents in which the optical fibers are damaged due to repeated bending fatigue applied to the C optical fibers on both sides of the fiber connection section. can. In addition, the fiber connection part holder is arranged so as to be aligned with a straight line connecting the circumferentially opposing ends of the adjacent covering outer frames, so that the optical fibers leading to the fiber connection part are not bent unnecessarily. You can also prevent your child from getting caught. In particular, in the present invention, since the outer frame is used as a means for supporting the optical fibers reaching the fiber connecting portion, there is no need to install special fiber supporting means, and the invention can be implemented economically. Moreover, if the outer frame is also used as means for wrapping the extra length, the storage length of the extra length can be made even longer, which is preferable.
