Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the tilt of a spindle owing to the vibrations, heat and impacts and to avoid an off-track phenomenon, by forming a through hole to a housing base through a bearing housing and setting a spring to said through hole. CONSTITUTION:A motor and a magnetic head disk assembly 3 are set on a base plate 1. The assembly 3 contains housing bases 4 and 5, a spindle 6, a carriage 7, a magnetic circuit 8, a baring housing 10 and a magnetic disk group 16. A through hole 18 is formed to the base 4 for linkage to the housing 10. The radial load is applied to a bearing 13 from a spring 20 put into a through hole 19 via the housing 10. This prevents the tilt of the spindle 6 owing to the vibrations, heat or external impacts which are produced during revolutions of the spindle 6. Therefore an off-track phenomenon can be avoided.
