Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a rotation detector of an inexpensive step motor by detecting the rotation by using a counterelectromotive force generated in an exciting coil. CONSTITUTION:When a rotor 1 rotates by a drive unit 3 or an external force, a rotor 9 mounted on the same shaft rotates. When the rotor 9 rotates, a magnetic field of a coil wound on a stator 8 varies by a permanent magnet used for the rotor 9, and a counterelectromotive force is generated in a coil. The counterelectromotive force generated in the coil varies in response to the variation in a magnetic field, i.e., the rotating speed of the rotor 9. Accordingly, a waveform is shaped by a waveform shaper 10, and set to the prescribed level for the rotating speed of the rotor 9. The rotation of the rotor 2 is detected by the output of the waveform shaper 10.
