Abstract

PURPOSE:To omit the correction of misread information at the side of an optical reader by providing a means which controls the function to discontinue reading action when the information is read mistakenly, and continuing the reading action despite the generation of a misread with actuation of said control means to correct the misread information at the side of a data processor. CONSTITUTION:When a form is read by an OCR1, a detection part 1-1 detects the generation of a misread and the presence of a mark. Then the form is read by a read executing part 1-3 if no misread is detected, and this read information is supplied to a file 1-4. When a misread is detected, the part 1-1 checks the presence or absence of said mark and output logic values ''1'' and ''0'' with the presence and absence of the mark, respectively. With the logic value ''1'', the part 1-3 is actuated via a gate circuit 1-2 to perform a reading action. The result of reading is stored to the file 1-4. When no mark is detected, an ejection mechanism control part 1-4 is actuated via an inverting circuit 1-3 to extract the form. This extracted form is corrected and read repetitively. Thus the reading is through with all forms.

(bl) Prior Art and Problems Optical reading devices are used in many ways as input terminals for data processing devices. Forms are used as input information for this optical reading device. Characters or marks are written on the form, so when an optical reading device reads the form used as input information, it may be unreadable depending on the way the user writes it.If the current ratio cannot be read, it may be misread. Therefore, a method is adopted in which the reading is interrupted, the form is rejected, and the operator corrects the misread form and rereads it.Furthermore, the data processing device is performing processing. When a misreading is discovered, the operator of the data processing device has to make corrections, which is not only inefficient as the correction is made twice, but also has the disadvantage that the operator of the optical reading device is troublesome to handle. was there.

(dl Structure of the Invention Briefly stated, the present invention provides a system for reading information with an optical reading device and inputting the information into a data processing device, in which the optical reading device misreads the information. The data processing device is characterized by comprising means for controlling a function to interrupt reading when an error occurs, and by activating the control means to continue reading even in the event of an erroneous reading, and correcting the erroneous reading information on the data processing device side. It is something to do.

The explanation will be given below with reference to FIG. Optical reader (
(hereinafter referred to as OCR) 1. For example, if there is an error in reading a document, an area is provided in the document that prohibits the reading from being stopped, and this area is marked. For documents with this mark, the reading process will not be interrupted even if misreading occurs.

That is, when the OCR1 reads the form (state 11 in Figure 2, hereafter Figure 2 is omitted and indicated by numbers in parentheses), the detection unit 1-1 marks the presence or absence of misreading (2). If there is no misreading, the reading execution unit 1-3 reads it and inputs the information to the file 1-4 (4).If there is a misreading, the detection unit I-1 checks the presence or absence of the mark described above (3).The detection unit l-1 gives a logical value of 11+ if there is a mark, and a logical value of ° if there is no mark.
Outputs 0゛. When the logical value is 1°, the read execution unit 1-3 is operated via the gate circuit 1-2 to perform reading (3), and the result is stored in the file 1-4 (4).
. If there is no mark, the reject mechanism control unit 1-4 is operated via the invert circuit 1-3 to take out the form 15). This retrieved form has been modified (
6), repeat the re-reading to finish reading all the forms (7). A feature of the present invention is that it is marked, so even if it is misread, the reject mechanism control section 1-4 will not operate and it will be read. The input information described above is stored in a file 1-4, for example, a floppy disk. This floppy disk 1-4 is put into the data processing device 2, and the display terminal 3 is used to perform correction processing. Of course, there are multiple optical reading devices 1, and this data processing device 2 processes all the optical reading devices, so that corrections can be concentrated in one part of the data processing device and processed efficiently. It happens.
