Synthetic paper made from synthetic fibers is well known, but because it generally blocks static electricity, it causes problems such as adhesion of dust and electrical shock and explosion due to electrical discharge.

However, each of these antistatic synthetic papers has drawbacks and is not satisfactory. For example, since metal fibers do not have bending recovery properties, their conductivity decreases during use or processing. Metal-plated fibers have drawbacks such as a limited number of applicable fiber types, high cost, and easy peeling during use or processing. Fibers containing conductive inorganic fine powder have the disadvantage that yarn quality such as spinnability and texture deteriorate. Fibers containing copper iodide have been developed to compensate for the above drawbacks, but since these fibers have a high resistivity, a large amount of fibers containing copper iodide must be added to achieve sufficient antistatic properties. .

In the present invention, beaten fibers are used as the base material of the conductive fibers, and the method of mixing the beaten fibers with the beaten fibers before being applied to the paper machine is mainly adopted. The base material is sufficiently strong and strong even without being beaten, so beating is not necessary.

There are several ways to obtain fibers with copper sulfide deposited and/or contained therein. By treating fibers in an aqueous solution containing a copper salt and a reducing sulfur compound, fibers containing substantially cupric sulfide can be obtained (Japanese Patent Application No. 58-7587, Japanese Patent Application No. 58-7733, Patent Application No. 1983-372 +11). 2) A material substantially containing CuxS (ts6<x<t9c; Japanese Patent Application No. 57-88650, Japanese Patent Application No. 57-90817, Japanese Patent Application No. 57-159499, etc.). In addition, after adsorbing monovalent copper ions to acrylic fibers, the fibers are treated with a compound that can release both or one of sulfur electrons and sulfur ions to make the fibers virtually non-destructive.
It is known that acrylic fibers containing Cu1185) can be obtained (Japanese Patent Publication No. 57-56581). Furthermore, 1 divalent copper ion and 1 divalent copper ion are added to the acrylic fiber.
It is also known that acrylic fibers containing substantially Cug S can be obtained by treatment with a reducing agent capable of reducing sulfur atoms and/or sulfur ions and a compound capable of releasing sulfur atoms and/or sulfur ions. Publication No. 57-21570).

The conductive fibers can be mixed into the synthetic paper at any step before or during papermaking. The necessary mixing ratio varies depending on the conductivity, length, diameter, etc. of the conductive fibers, but it is preferably 0.003% or more since the triboelectric charge density is expected to be less than 7 micron/m. 3% by weight is required. When the mixing ratio is high, it becomes conductive synthetic paper rather than electrically conductive synthetic paper. For example, in the case of synthetic paper made by mixing acrylic fibers containing substantially di-sulfurized acrylic fibers with acrylic fibers, 30% by weight or more of conductive fibers may be mixed in order to achieve a resistance of 1XIO'Ω/unit or less.

(Both acrylic fibers have a denier of 1.5 and an average cut length of 5 ttan) The synthetic paper of the present invention may contain a binder, a pigment, an antistatic agent, and the like. Binders include PVA, starch, water-soluble resins such as methyl cellulose, and vinyl acetate.
Examples include water-insoluble resins such as acrylic resins (in this case, they are used in the form of an emulsion).

The synthetic paper of the present invention exhibits superior durability and electrical properties compared to synthetic papers using metal fibers, metal plating, conductive inorganic fine powder beds, etc. Moreover, its antistatic property does not depend on humidity. Furthermore, the conductive fiber used in the present invention is green or yellow,
It is possible to dye other than light colors, and when made into synthetic paper, it has a good texture and appearance. One of the features is that mixed paper making is easy because conductive fibers made of the same material can be selected.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to Examples. In the Examples, the triboelectric charge density test was conducted using the Faraday cage method after rubbing the sample with cotton flannel and leaving it on a grounded metal plate for 10 seconds. The test environment is 2
1 Kl:, 22% relative humidity. In addition, in the ash test, a sample was sampled with cotton flannel in the same test environment.
After rubbing 0 times, it was held horizontally at a distance of 5 crrL above the cigarette ash, and the extent to which the cigarette ash was adsorbed was examined. The adsorption state was divided into five grades and evaluated: 5th grade was when no cigarette ash was adsorbed, and 1st grade was when a very large amount of cigarette ash was adsorbed.
