Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a simple and economical water-wheel type generator by floating the water-wheel type generator onto the water flow in a river and permitting power generation by utilizing the velocity energy of the water flow. CONSTITUTION:A paddle water-wheel 5 is axially supported onto two floats 1 and 2 in the structure made of foamed styrene having a reinforcing core member, wooden ship type, FRP ship type, steel ship type, etc., and a rubber tire 9 for the first acceleration operation is pushed onto the outer side surface of the paddle water-wheel 5. A dynamo 11 is revolved at a certain speed through the second accelerator 10 and a stapless speed change gear 12, and the floats 1 and 2 are moored on the riverside through wires, ropes, etc., and transferred according to the water flow.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] In recent years, hydroelectric power generation has been reconsidered in order to save energy. However, as standard hydropower was fully developed and became small-scale hydropower, the conditions became difficult, and the highly efficient method of constructing a dam and connecting it to a water wheel with a penstock, as in Jiurai, became more difficult. It is also becoming economically difficult. Therefore, there is a need for a method to easily utilize the energy of river water flow as it is, without the need for dams or penstocks. One method for this is to float a float equipped with a paddle wheel on a river, against the current of the river, and anchor it to the coast with wires or lobes, as opposed to a paddle wheel driven paddle steamer. The rudder installed in the float allows the float to emerge at an appropriate location in the flow and create a floating state. A paddle turbine with a baryl wheel mounted on the float is rotated by the velocity energy of the water flow, which drives a generator connected to the paddle turbine.

This float is similar to that of a ship, and can be of any structure, but small floats such as those made of foamed styrene can also be used. It may also be something like a raft. In order to stably support and rotate the paddle turbine, a suitable shape is one in which the hull is divided into left and right halves, like a catamaran, with the paddle turbine sandwiched in the middle.

Next, details will be explained with reference to the drawings. In FIG. 1, this is a plan view of the present invention, and 1 is a left float. These have various structures, such as those made of foamed styrofoam attached to reinforcing materials, rafts made of glued wood, plastics such as FRP ships, ship structures, and general steel types. Things are considered according to their scale. 2 is the right float, and its structure is exactly the same. 3 is a tie-down rope such as a tie rope, and its length is adjusted to suit changes in water level and the position of the float relative to the water flow. 4 is a rudder that moves the float to the middle of the flow by the water flow. 5 is a paddle water wheel, which has a structure similar to a paddle wheel of a paddle steamer. Reference numeral 6.7 denotes left and right support brackets for the paddle water turbine 5, which are fixed to the left and right floats 1.2, respectively. Reference numeral 8 denotes a connecting member that interconnects and integrates the left and right floats 1.2. Reference numeral 9 denotes a rubber tire that is pressed against the outside of the paddle water turbine 5 to increase the speed of the first stage. Reference numeral 10 denotes a second-stage speed increaser, which may also be made of rubber tires, or may be a speed increaser such as another gear or belt.

11 is a generator. Reference numeral 12 denotes a continuously variable transmission, which allows the generator 11 to be operated at a constant rotation speed regardless of the rotation speed of the paddle water turbine 5. Therefore, it is possible to generate electricity at the −do frequency while making maximum use of the energy of the water flow.
