Claims (1)

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. モノリス触媒の外周とコンバータケースとの間に、セラ
    ミック繊維と熱膨張物質とを混合してなる熱膨張材を介
    在させることにより、モノリス触媒ヲコンバータケース
    に保持させるようにした触媒コンバータにおいて、上記
    熱膨張材の排気ガスの上流側部分および下流側部分が、
    側壁とその両端部に連続する外周壁および内周壁とを有
    する断面コ字状の一対のシール材によってそれぞれ被覆
    され、かつ両シール材が所定距離を隔てて配置されるこ
    とによって互いの外周壁の先端面間および内周壁の先端
    面間に所定の空間がそれぞれ形成されたことを特徴とす
    る触媒コンバータ。
