Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the formation of wrinkles on a rear-side product roll by keeping the pressing force of a press-contact roll before the bulging-out part of a taking-up core does not contact with a sheet article and keeping the air biting-in rate of a front-side product roll at a proper value. CONSTITUTION:The pressing force of a front-side product roll 2 for a press-contact roll 7 is kept at the pressure lower than a certain pressure P1 before the front-side product roll 2 forms the taken-up thickness t1 in which the bulging-out part 4 of the taking-up core 3 does not contact with the sheet article 8 taken-up onto a rear-side product roll 6. The control is performed by controlling a pressure control valve 14 by a controller 15 according to the signal supplied from a taking-up thickness detector 17. The certain pressure P1 is the pressure under which formation of wrinkles on the sheet article 8 starts, when the bulging-out part 4 of the taking-up core 3 contacts with the sheet article 8. No wrinkle is generated on the sheet article 8 until the taking-up thickness on the product roll 2 becomes the taking-up thickness t1 with which the bulging-out part 4 does not contact with the sheet article 8.

BACKGROUND ART In winding a slitter of the type described above, when winding a product roll using a winding core having a width wider than the width of the cut sheet material, as shown in FIG. The protruding portion 4 of the winding core 3 from the product roll 2 on the front shaft 1 is wound onto the rear shaft 5 as a product roll 6 until the product roll 2 becomes thickened to a certain extent, and is brought into contact with the protruding portion 4 of the winding core 3. It comes into contact with the sheet-like material 8 conveyed on the pressure roll 7. In this way, at the beginning of winding the product roll, the protruding portion 4 of the winding core 3 of the front shaft 1 is attached to the sheet-like material 8 of the rear shaft 5.
If you step on it, the product roll 6 wound up by the rear shaft 5 may get wrinkled. Wrinkling is particularly likely to occur when the product roll 2 is pressed against the contact pressure roll 7 under high pressure production conditions or when the sheet-like material is a thin film. If wrinkles occur, it will have an adverse effect not only on the core of the product roll 6 where the wrinkles have occurred, but also on the part that is wound onto the upper layer, and there is a risk that the product roll 6 wound on the rear shaft 5 will eventually be rejected. There is a problem that there is.

Structure of the Invention In order to achieve this object, the present invention has the following structure. That is, the slitter winding method of the present invention is as follows:
When cutting a sheet-like material and winding it up as product rolls around a plurality of winding cores, the positions of adjacent product rolls in the width direction of the sheet-like material are shifted back and forth in the sheet-like material feeding direction. In a slitter winding method in which a product roll is wound while being pressed against a common pressure roll, when the product roll is wound using a winding core whose width is wider than the width of the cut sheet-like material. , the product roll on the front side when viewed in the feeding direction of the sheet-like material is such that a portion of the winding core of the product roll protruding from the end surface of the product roll is conveyed on the contact pressure roll of this portion, and the product roll is transported in the feeding direction of the sheet-like material. The pressing force from the end surface of the front product roll is applied to the pressure roll side of the front product roll until the thickness of the roll is such that it does not contact the sheet material to be wound up as the rear product roll. Even if the protruding portion of the take-up core comes into contact with the sheet-like material to be wound up as a product roll on the rear side, the pressure is kept low enough to prevent wrinkles from forming on the sheet-like material.

In such a winding method, the pressing force of the front product roll on the contact pressure roll is limited to the amount that the protruding part of the winding core is in contact with the sheet material to be wound on the rear product roll. The pressure is kept low enough to prevent wrinkles. In general, the pressing force of the product roll against the pressure roll is set so that the amount of air trapped between the winding layers of the product roll is an appropriate amount. This air entrapment increases as the winding speed increases, so in order to suppress the air entrapment rate to an appropriate level, the higher the winding speed, the higher the suppressing force is required.

However, the protruding part of the winding core comes into contact with the sheet material only at the beginning of winding until the product roll has thickened by a certain amount, and during that time, the winding speed has not yet increased to the normal speed. range and low speed range. therefore,
Even for sheet-like materials that require a considerably high pressing force after the normal speed increase, it is possible to achieve a predetermined air entrainment rate with a low pressing force at low speeds at the beginning of winding. By keeping this low pressing force at an appropriately low pressure that does not cause wrinkles in the sheet material even when the winding core comes into contact with it, the predetermined air entrainment rate of the front product roll is maintained while the rear product roll The appearance of wrinkles is prevented.

Effects of the Invention Therefore, even in the case of winding conditions in which the winding core is wider than the width of the product roll, the winding of the rear product roll can be carried out while maintaining an appropriate air entrainment ratio of the front product roll. It is possible to prevent the occurrence of wrinkles, obtain a good winding appearance for both the front product roll and the rear product roll, and improve the product acceptance rate.

As shown in FIG. The pressure is maintained at a low pressure below a certain pressure P1 until the winding thickness tl reaches a value that does not make contact with the object 8. This control is performed by controlling the pressure control valve 14 by the control device 15 based on a signal from the winding thickness detection device 17. This constant pressure P1 is the pressure at which wrinkles begin to appear in the sheet-like material 8 when the protruding portion 4 of the winding core 3 comes into contact with the sheet-like material 8.

Therefore, the pressing force of the product roll 2 is maintained at a low pressure that does not cause wrinkles until the product roll 2 has a thickness that does not allow the protruding portion 4 to come into contact with the sheet material 8. . This pressure P1 is the surface hardness of the contact pressure roll 7,
