Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow one detecting element to detect the division of a main body into two and the opening of a front door by providing one detecting element which operates either when the device body is separated into two or when the front door is opened to the upper or lower part of the device body. CONSTITUTION:A microswitch 5 is pressed with a microswitch operating piece 4a to turn on unless the device body is separated into two and the front door 2 is opened. When the front door 2 is merely opened, the operating piece 4a leaves the microswitch 5, which turns off. When the device body is separated into two, the operating piece 4a separates from the microswitch 5 as well to turn off the switch. Thus, the microswitch 5 is turned off when the front door 2 is opened or when the device is divided into two, so it is not necessary to open the front door by separating the device body into two during toner supplementing operation and the inside of the device body is not stained.

クロスイッチでいずれの状態も検出できる。
