Traditionally, base fabrics made of cotton yarn and synthetic fibers such as nylon have been used as base fabrics for the uppers of athletic shoes. Although they are comfortable, they have drawbacks in terms of waterproofness, while the latter have excellent breathability and durability, but have drawbacks in terms of comfort and waterproofness.

Therefore, in view of the shortcomings of the prior art, after various studies, the inventor of the present invention decided to use an adhesive applied in dots, lines, or meshes to bond a surface material having a porous urethane membrane and a nonwoven fabric impregnated with urethane. The inventors discovered that by adhering, it is possible to create a base fabric with excellent breathability and waterproofness, which led to the creation of the present invention.

The structure of the base fabric according to the present invention will be explained based on one embodiment. As shown in FIG. A laminated cloth [trade name 1 Gore-Tex Yo] made of the same material is used as the outer material 1, and adhesive 5 is applied to the back surface of the outer material 1, that is, the surface of the nylon tricot 4, in the form of many dots, as shown in FIG. It has a structure in which a nonwoven fabric 6 (trade name: 1 Cord Rayo) impregnated with urethane is adhered thereto.

In addition to the above-mentioned laminated cloth, the outer material 1 has a nylon taffeta 3 and a urethane porous membrane 2 on the surface as shown in FIG.
Coated cloth [Product name 1 End Land,
], although not shown, a coated cloth made of a nylon tricot 4 and a porous urethane film 2 can also be used, and the method of applying the adhesive is not limited to dots, but can also be applied as shown in Figure 3. It can be applied in a variety of ways, such as linearly, in a mesh pattern as shown in FIG. 4, or in a combination of these methods. This is to prevent the film from impairing the breathability and water absorbency of the base fabric.

In the present invention, to explain the function of the base fabric, sweated gaseous moisture first passes through the urethane-impregnated nonwoven fabric 6 and the nylon tricot 4, and reaches the back surface of the urethane porous membrane 2. The liquid water that is sweated out through the nylon taffeta 3 through the numerous holes 7 is absorbed by the urethane-impregnated nonwoven fabric 6, and further absorbed by the nylon tricot 4, where it evaporates due to body heat. The water becomes gaseous and enters the pores 7 of the porous urethane membrane 2.
It passes through the nylon taffeta 3 and is discharged.

On the other hand, moisture such as raindrops is absorbed by the nylon taffeta 3, but can pass through the urethane porous membrane 2, resulting in a waterproof effect.

In this way, the base fabric according to the present invention is equipped with a porous urethane membrane 2 that allows only gaseous moisture to pass through, but not liquid moisture, so moisture from perspiration is expelled, but raindrops are not allowed to pass through. Not only does it have a waterproof effect that prevents water droplets from penetrating, but it also has a nonwoven fabric impregnated with urethane6.
Since it is placed on the side that comes into contact with the body, sweat water can be efficiently absorbed from the body surface and there is no sticky feeling. Since the nonwoven fabric 6 impregnated with urethane is bonded with the adhesive 5 applied in dots, lines, or mesh, the breathability and water absorption properties of the urethane impregnated nonwoven fabric 6 are not impaired, and the urethane porous It has the excellent effect of being able to fully exhibit the above-mentioned properties of the membrane 2, providing a base fabric for the upper of an athletic shoe that is comfortable to wear without stuffiness or stickiness, and has excellent durability.
