Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable manual soldering operation with one hand and to perform sure soldering in an exact position by providing a solder holder and a solder feed mechanism to an iron body. CONSTITUTION:The operator inserts preliminarily the tip of solder 9 into the inlet of a guide pipe 5 by hand. The operator throws a selector switch 7 for feeding the solder 9 in this state to an iron tip 1 to the forward rotation side. A driving motor runs and the revolution thereof is transmitted to the gear of a solder holder 4. The holder 4 is then rotated and the solder 9 is fed in the pipe 5 until the top end thereof arrives at the tip 1. Soldering is performed in this state. The operator throws the switch 7 to the backward rotation side upon ending of the operation to return the solder 9 exposed from the pipe 5 to the inside of the pipe 5.

Soldering with a conventional soldering iron K is performed as described above, so the electronic components must be fixed so that they do not wobble, and it is necessary to hold the solder and the soldering iron with both hands to work reliably. Moreover, it is difficult to solder in areas with small gaps, and the work tends to be uneven.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a soldering iron with an automatic solder supply device showing an embodiment of the present invention, and the same reference numerals as in FIG. 1 indicate the same parts. In this figure, numeral 4 indicates a solder holder for automatic supply of solder installed in the grip part 3 of the iron main body A. Also, Fig. 3 is an enlarged perspective view of the solder holder 4 of the present invention, and in this figure, 4a is a solder holder for automatically supplying solder. 4b is a locking pawl, 4c is a gear for automatically feeding the solder inside the solder case, and 5 in FIG.
They are guide tubes that guide the tip yiIli toward the iron tip 1 and are integrally arranged in parallel on the body part 2 of the iron main body A by means of a tension band 6. Reference numeral 1 denotes a changeover switch provided on the grip portion 3 for rotating the solder holder 4 in forward and reverse directions, and the neutral point of the changeover switch is in the OFF state. Reference numeral 4d indicates a drive motor that meshes with the gear 4c of the solder holder 4 to rotate it at a reduced speed, 8 indicates a wire plug, and 9 indicates solder.

In the above structure, when using the soldering iron, a solder case is placed on the push shaft 4a of the solder holder 4, and the retaining claw 4b at the tip is horizontally tilted to hold the solder case in that position. First, manually insert the tip of the solder 9 into the inlet of the guide #5. Thereafter, in order to feed the solder 9 to the iron tip 1 from this state, the changeover switch 6 is turned to the normal rotation side. In this case, the drive morph 4d is activated and its rotation is transmitted to the gear 4c of the solder holder 4 through the reduction gear at the tip, and the solder holder 4 is rotated at a reduced speed, and this rotation causes the solder 9 in the solder case to move to the chain green shown in the figure. It is fed into the guide tube 5 as shown by the arrow, and its tip reaches the iron tip 1, and soldering is performed in that state. When the work is finished, the changeover switch 1 is turned to the reverse side to return the solder 9 exposed from the guiding pipe 5 to the inside of the visiting pipe 5.

In the embodiments shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 above, the solder holder 4 is directly moved by the rotational force of the drive motor 4d as the solder feeding mechanism.
As shown in Fig. 4, the solder holder 4 is simply inserted with a solder case, and a pair of elastics for feeding the stylus inside the solder case are separately installed. A roller 4e is provided, which is rotated forward and backward by a drive motor 4d, and moves forward while sandwiching the solder 9.
