Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

(1) ZnO constructed by stacking many ZnO elements
A lightning arrester in which an element stack is housed in a sealed container, and a metal spacer whose outer peripheral surface is entirely or partially in close contact with the inner surface of the container is inserted between a plurality of blocks divided in the stacking direction of the ZnO element stack.

(2) The lightning arrester according to claim 1, wherein a thermally conductive cushion is provided between the outer peripheral surface of the metal spacer and the inner surface of the container.
